Making a parody game based on a porn game... bad idea?

I've been working for some time on a game based on an already existing porn game. At first I just wanted to make fanart of it, then I thought I might expand it a bit and given the amount of work it was taking I then thought it could become a full-fledged work I could publish and other people could enjoy...
The problematic part is making a porn parody of a porn game. Do you think that's bad? Porn parodies of normal works are common (a porn parody of batman, for example). In Japan they also do doujinshi of existing porn works. But I'm not sure it would be well-received in the west.

I think it would be okay if you made it an actual parody and not just a ripoff, like actually satirize the ridiculous aspects of the original game. Otherwise you'd just be creating a ripoff. I think you're pretty unlikely to be sued by the original author, but otherwise, who knows?

From my experience, I've never seen a parody porn game of a porn game be particularly good. People have tried, of course. And a scene doing that can work with a little joke (Akabur's done this a couple times. Occasionally it's even been funny), but when people actually try to make a whole game out of them it tends to go...badly. The ones I can remember best were the extremely awful 'Trump'-related games (you'd better believe people tried making a few of them), but mostly because those also tended to be Steam memegame cashgrabs at the same time. But please don't make games like those. Those are terrible.

All told, there's nothing that says you can't do it. But it means that in addition to being able to make a decent game, having good graphics, and having a tolerable command of the English language, you actually have to be funny. And not just funny, but funny in a way that carries a game. While I think it gets bogged down in overly slow gameplay (and the lack of boning CG makes finishing every character feel kinda pointless), you might want to take a look at Max Gentlemen Sexy Business for at least what a humorous take on a sexy game looks like, before trying to make a parody game of your own. Hunie Pop was also pretty decent at this. Probably the closest I've seen is Crush Crush, but even that is an occasionally-cute idle game rather than something I'd call 'good.'

Will this game be a parody or a fanfic? There is a big difference between those two.
A parody is kinda making fun of it or it's tropes, or maybe exaggerate everything in it.
A fanfic is just a story based on its original and often misrepresenting the characters.
