MaldiVes
Im sure someone already familiar with JoiPlay, it can play RPG Maker MV, VX, VX Ace, XP, MZ and more.
But this one is diferent, its similar like JoiPlay, MaldiVes only can play RPG Maker MV and MZ but more POWERFUL.
I will explain what is MaldiVes pros over JoiPlay.
1. NPOT patch
In MaldiVes, there is option called NPOT patch, the function of this feature is it can load "black-box" images.
Some RPG Maker MV use texture size more than max mobile GPU texture size limit, so the images can't be loaded.
Playing "Sonia and the Hypnotic City" and "Twin Stars Nightmare"
JoiPlay
You can see the map and the character is just blank, you need to turn off WebGL to make it show but it will EXTREMELY LAG because it will use CPU to processing the image.
MaldiVes
You can see the map and character is shown because NPOT patch, you can play with WebGL on and got full 60FPS (depends on device spec).
2. WebGL 2
MaldiVes use WebGL 2 rendering while JoiPlay still use WebGL, i don't understand much but what i quick search on google, WebGL 2 is improved version of WebGL and of course you will get more slightly FPS on MaldiVes, i tested playing the same game and MaldiVes more stable.
3. Refine touch event
Useful when you playing Summer Memories, there is problem on JoiPlay where you can't click the door, you need modified games, but in MaldiVes, you can just using normal game version, no need modified/compressed version.
4. Device Compatibility
Some device can't play RPG Maker MV on JoiPlay because strange bug.
When you are in mid game, there is strange image blinking/flickering and then the screen completely blank, you can still hear the sound.
My device is one of can't play RPG Maker MV on JoiPlay, but when i playing RPG Maker MV on MaldiVes, i never got any problem, so its not device fault.
Tested on Redmi Note 9 and Realme 3.
Some feature that available on MaldiVes:
1. Cheat Menu
By pressing "1" it will show cheat menu.
2. Keyboard
3. Support up to 6 buttons.
4. Unpack a game
Unpack a game that are packed with Enigma, you can unpack RPG Maker VX, VX Ace and other.
You can get the application on PlayStore, its name is Maldives player(RPG MV) by Scale & Crow.
The app is free to use, you can also buy the professional pack to unlock some settings, the free version still can play RPG Maker MV games with all feature above and 100% no restriction, the professional feature is just very little additional settings.
