Why do you ask? What is what you want?
Often male player = male MC, female player = female MC. It is often as simple as that. And many male player would never play a female MC game. I don't know how it is with female players, although as more games have male MC instead of female, I assume they might be a little more flexible than the males here even if not by choice.

I'm a guy, so I prefer male MCs.

Most female MC games are either she only exists to become a living sex toy for all the ugly bastards around, or it's a lesbian game, and I'm not interested in either.
