I played a game a few months ago where the player joined a secret organization which worshiped a (female) god in exchange for power.
The powers included limited mind control and immortality(?). I remember it had elements where the player thought he was crazy and hallucinating in the past.
The organization was the dark side and fought against a light side and it was hinted that the light side was actually evil. The light side had their own champion who recently killed the previous champion of the dark side who was in jail.
I hope this rings some bells to somebody.
