I have been following Sugar Mint and his game "Malovent Planet" for some time now and also follow him
or her * on Patreon and Discord.
After the new update, I have now decided to write a small review.
One thing should be clear to every player. It is a text-based game, which in its current state only uses pictures to accompany the scene and is therefore not a graphic novel.
The quality of the texts is good, even though I am not a native speaker and have to send everything through a translation programme. But based on the few to hardly any misinterpretations in the translations, I think I can allow myself a judgement.
Development is progressing steadily, both in terms of fixing a few bugs and writing new quests and encounters. The NPC's are becoming increasingly differentiated, but remain well usable in their demands.
Especially those who follow Sugar Mint on Discord
New content, such as unlocking/repairing more rooms in the ship that provide access to new encounters or quests, offer new options, and the future plans for Emma's journey make us want more.
New convenience features that users (like me) have asked for are being discussed and also implemented to improve the experience for the player. This says a lot about the developer's commitment.
It is a game that definitely deserves attention and stands out pleasantly from the eternal DAZ monotony (there are also gems that I like to play).
In its current form, I would give it 4 stars, as it still reveals one or two weaknesses here and there, but there is also a big bonus point for the huge potential that this game offers.
