I may be wrong and it has been several versions since I have played but have the cheats changed? I recall being able to increase affection and obedience now I can't see that, I did just start a new game have I not progressed that far yet or did that get taken out?
Sorry for adding another post but i'm not sure how I would find the answer by searching in the thread

It was removed since it would block progress. As for searching the thread, while it might not show you immediately what you're looking for but you could use the search tool with words like "cheat changed" or "girl cheat removed" or similar and you might find a post or two explaining it like this one.

Tried installing the game on a different machine to see what happens. Sad to say, I find it not hard to reproduce the same bug. But it does not happen as consistently as on my regular rig. Which is really puzzling.

I also managed to find an old 0.8.3 version, and that one does not have the same bug. It does not reduce the time of the lock when you go and sleep. This seems to be as intended (although 0.9.7 does seem to suggest that sleep should reduce the time for that lock). This only applies to the stress lock, and only to sleeping. All other actions correctly reduce the time for the stress lock.

Hope you have made some headway with this one larry5168, but it seems like a minor bug crept in.

I appreciate it that you are taking your time to figure this out.

From what I was able to tell looking your save over, there was a value modified, but not by the game.. That's why the stress stays locked while hygiene, food, etc change. Open your save up in Notepad or whatever text editor you prefer and scroll to the bottom of the save..

Look for the line: <Sleeping>true</Sleeping>. Change "true" to false, save the file and reload your save in MotH.

Hi Sycho. Thanks for having a look at it. And that seems to resolve that issue.

Really weird since I have not opened a text editor on the save game that I sent through. I have looked into removing the lock from the save game, to see if the gauge would, but I did that with a copy of the save game (it is possible I messed up). But that would not explain why I find it quite easy to reproduce the bug, on a clean install, without ever even opening a text editor.

Easiest schedule to produce the bug on the other rig (clean install, no settings changed):

1. Skip Intro
2. 8:00 - Grab coffee (for Veronica Event)
3. Sleep till 18:00
4. Grab Dinner (mood management, needed for step 7)
5. Take a Bath (mood management, needed for step 7)
6. Sleep till 23:45
7. Go to Veronica's Room to peek
8. Watch Porn to activate the lock
9. Sleep so that Veronica's event at the police station triggers
10. Play through the event
11. When you get home, for example try to study and you will notice the lock is misbehaving.

If you study after watching the porn, but before picking Veronica up from the police station, the lock works as intended, and subtracts the time spent. However, once you have picked up Veronica, studying for instance will not reduce the time of the lock.

If you skip step 8, play through Veronica's event at the police station, and then watch porn, the bug also happens (eg. if you study after watching a porn the lock will remain in force for 8 hours).

Edited to add:
I do notice that in my save game before I go to sleep (before step 9, the <Sleeping> line is false. After picking her up from the police station it is set as true.

Yeah in truth Sycho finally worked it out, just before I went to bed, when Faerin gets back we will ask him to take a look at it, because knowing him he will just say "Oh its this" but that will be later on in the week, for now I will try to reproduce it on a fresh game of my own following the steps you have laid out above.

Thanks for the kind words it could be a while yet before the game is completed, just because the endings are being written at the moment for the main characters it doesnt mean we are as close to the end like everyone seems to think. There are so many characters that dont even have a storyline yet Linda, Cassie, Valerie, Megan, Kathy and the possibility of Gemini Night and Yumi to still enter the game, thats besides endings for the other characters as well theres a lot of life left yet in MOTH.
I will put this at the end in case everyone thinks I am speaking on behalf of Faerin I am not this is just a personal opinion but The End is Not Nigh!!! not just yet.
As for a suggestion try the game out for yourself as the three main characters are practically complete theres loads of gameplay in those alone
