Unity - Completed - Man of the House [v1.0.2c Extra] [Faerin]

There is a good work, flow schedule, and the direction that the artist wants to make is clear. It also has such skills and is not a simple CG content.
A simple CG chunk with no bases is called a game, There is at least basic skill and ability.

The following review is based off my personal experience with playing this Game/Visual Novel... I try to be as brutally honest and detailed as I can, and these are my own opinions and thoughts, from one or more play throughs... The version this review is based on is v0.6.4 Extra...

This one is definitely not a Visual Novel, as it is more like an Erotic Sex Adventure/Exploration/Corruption Game... Once upon a time it was another overused Family Sex themed game, but several versions ago it converted to the male protagonist being a renter/tenant, who lived in the apartment/condo of the 3 women instead, with no legal relation to them...

The visuals for the characters are well done, as they have somewhat normal body proportions... The backdrops are not bad either, even though some may resemble some others I've seen in other VN/Games, just can't remember which ones... In any case, the author's did a decent job overall with the visuals, including the map and UI...

The script is done pretty well, as I didn't really see any proofreading issues... The plot for what little story this game has, is the male protagonist is living with 3 women of various adult ages, and his over all goal is to seduce and perhaps go much further with all of them... Each of the primary 3 characters has their own story paths/events... But there are other characters also involved in his quest/s... The game involves stats for both himself, as well as the other characters... Some stat types open up with certain characters as each characters path progresses... The biggest headache stats are your personal hygiene, sleep, and a few others, mostly because they degrade over time and require micro-managing... The protagonist also has skill stats to work on, but they do not degrade... The other characters have stats like love and so on, which can go up and down depending on how you interact with them...

Other mechanics involve things like time management, where each character has a schedule they primarily keep to, so some interactions only work during certain time frames... Which will make progression with each character take a while, repeating some sequences over and over to get their stat up, and/or to open up more content... And you are not always clued in on what time of the day, and where you need to be, and under what circumstances you can gain access to a new scene, in any given characters story path... It can seem a bit overwhelming, if you're trying to open up content... At first it's not so bad, but things can get a bit more complicated over time... I personally got stuck several times, and ended up referring to the Walkthrough on this one, to keep truckin' along...

There are so many other pieces to this game as well, such as an Achievement system, extra scenes if you play that version, dream sequences, and the list goes on...

Overall, even though it did not have much of a real story, beyond each woman's story paths, I found myself playing this game, grinding away to gain access to what little story content there was... I eventually hit a wall, where I had seen most things, and just didn't want to spend the extra time to see the last few remaining pieces... I wouldn't say this game is up there in my favorites list, but it's somewhere in the middle of my, willing to play list... I'll probably wait till this one is a lot closer to completion before replaying it, mostly because it takes a lot of time to play... Even if you use a walkthrough...

I was really excited by the first couple releases of MOTH because the game engine was really strong and the initial content seemed promising.

The engine continues to be well done for a Unity game, with achievement tracking and photo galleries etc.

The models are generally well-rendered but seem a little "off" to me. The younger sister looks alright but is the same model from DMD which is weird. The mom (err, landlord) looks as young as the protagonist: the only thing generally making her MILFy is the clothing choices.

The game design is the main thing keeping me from enjoying the game. MOTH, like Glassix and some other games, runs on a 24-hour clock on a 1-minute granularity. Because of this, the designer has scheduled most events to happen within a 30-minute to 2-hour window. Every time you want to advance relationship with characters, you have to visit them at each of their unique locations during the day until something interesting happens. Then, most often, repeat that event five times to get the required rep to trigger the next event.

When you consider that the game also currently has resource management (does anyone not use the cheat for this?) it becomes even more tedious.

Contrast to a game like Summertime Saga which just has day/afternoon/night: it's a lot easier to just blunder around looking for unique events if the possibility space is limited, and there's generally less grinding when you find them.

The scenes, when they happen, are very good. But there's no reason it needs to be this grindy and annoying to get to them.

I hope that once the author has written more game they can loosen up these interactions to make it less painful to progress.

Excellent fap material, characters are different and that way we can expect to satysfy different kinks. Incest was in this game from the start, patreon needed to erase it then author made it possible to change it back. Heck, tentant, landlolrd etc even sound stupid. Development of the story is good with good pacing, the only thing which could be better is a hint system so players can faster expect results, like it shows next thing to grind or place to be, person to talk to etc. Much, and I mean much time was wasted even with cheats without walktrough.

expecting in the future besides new content:
- better save system, where we can see how far we have gone with girls, see how much special points each have. Bigger photos, naming of saves, overrite should have change naming of the save file, but it does not. So overriten save is still on the bottom.

- new hint system in which game gives hints what to do next with girls so we as a player would not waste time on searching for new events. Like in which place to be, at what hour, what to do etc. It might be direct system or more hint like system. I don't really care which, as long as Fearin will choose something it will be great!

- the only bugs I have seen so far were two, that sister in a club didn't show up in a place she should be. With her client or by herself.

- the most annoying bug so far was that when I clicked through scenes sometimes it crashed the game. After I lowered frames per second to 30 max it helped, but did not stop. I can assume that page did not load completly yet I clicked through it and it stopped at that frame. Once while doing a chore with sister doing loundry it crashed that way that I could use smartphone and save and reload the game but that was the only time I could do it that way.

- animations needed, different perspective or even minigames with pleasuring girls, women. It would add to immersion. Other games with this feature have edge over others. Choices of perspective, position, action etc. 3D animated films with at least 30 frames each and not gifs with just 2-3 renders per scene.

Unpolished dimond which needs a lot of work to shine or even outshine other similar games.

Good graphic, interesting story (i like the blackmailing option instead of mindcontrol what other games offer) very good progressing (not too fast, not too slow), updateimg pretty soon/often, and, that's not very constructive, but it is my favoutite game so far

Graphics 4/5 really good at least in my opinion
Story 3/5 the story it's a bit repetitive among other adult games but on this game it's not that bad
Writing 5/5 the game unlike others does not jump ahead into H-stuff but instead you build up relationships/events
Game Length 5/5 as I said before you don't jump into H-stuff in the first day in game, it makes the game a bit grindy but not extreme and also makes possible the addition of bonus content/routes/characters/stories

Bonus Stuff: optional character stories, RNG events while moving on the map, RNG gambling at the casino, RNG at work, for some ppl this may be bad since they don't like to deal with RNG but for me it avoids getting the game too repetitive (doing the exact same everyday and getting the exact same results)

I have to say, this is got to be one of the best games I've played. You do a great job of making it unique, but familiar at the same time. The renders are well done, and each character story progression is intriguing.

It's pretty clear that you've spent a healthy amount of time developing the interface and variable elements to make the experience challenging. Honestly, there were a couple of points where I was frustrated (angered) by the "mood" requirement (ex. right after the tutorial and my first attempt at pantiless Veronica in Neon), but I got over it.

Beyond that, the depth of the content is a little lacking at this point. There are A LOT of things to do, and A LOT of locations to visit, but very little to actually do in many of them. I could go into more detail, but the issue is a moot point and quite simply goes hand-in-hand with releasing iterations of an incomplete project.

Anyway, keep up the good work and I'll look forward to future releases.

Visual quality, great story, charismatic characters, linearity of the game showing all the details and accurate information of everything that can be done during the game, well translated in several languages, with interesting and very original dialogues.

This game is everything that some other (undeservedly famous) games aren't.

Grinding here is at acceptable level. Models are nice and interface... Hands down - the best you'll find in any game. Percentage of completion for events and characters is great thing especially for games with regular new content.

I'm trying to find some complaint, but simply can't...

"Fap per played time" only rates how good the game is at giving you a good FAP. doesnt matter how good the art, gameplay, renders, model, Sound, writing, Story or anything like that is, if the game is good at giving you good and multiple faps in a decent amount of gametime, it will get a good rating, eles not. i rate games like this because in the end, i mainly play adult games for good faps...nothing eles

*short 6.5 update: amazing game. i love all the new Content. had many many faps thanks to this game. but i will leave it at 4/5 stars because it just a bit too slow/grindy and i think it wouldn't be fun to Play without a 100% guide. also the sex Scenes are very hot BUT imo the lack of animations and the (poor) Quality of the animations are just not worth of 5 stars. this game is a great game that over a Long time will give you many faps, but a bit slow.

in Overall (probably 1 week since first download) very short time played i got 3 good faps out of this game.

played through the game with cheats and walkthrough. didnt take that Long. dont recommend playing without guides or walkthrough. i tried playing the latest Version (5.3) without a 100% guide and it was NOT WORTH THE TIME=0 faps. the 3 faps were during the last Version (5.2 i think). tbh the latest Version and the non fap in playing that was the reason i gave it 4 and not 5 stars. but obv the lack of Content and the time mechanic are also reason for it not getting a "Fap per played time" Rating of 5. but this can obv Change since all 3 Girls have great fap potential.

I love this game because even though I am writing the review this early, this game has shown itself to be very polished which having great models. Right now while I am writing this review this game is in Version 0.5.1b. Here are the pros and cons:

Pros:

Great Models: Even though this game uses models from the main character of Big Brother and the Daughter from Dating my Daughter. I love how they look in this game in comparison to the "Original". The Protagonist in this game (the main character from big brother) looks like he goes to the gym and has a good physique. The sister (the daughter from Dating My Daughter) has an AMAZING butt and great shaped breasts (It does not look like those fake implants which are not soft and cannot move. Similar to pornstars.)

Also the models of the general environment is very nice to look at. This is the one of the reason why I called this game very polished.

Great UI: I love the user interface. There may be a lot of it but I like the way they look and the way it has a plethora a options. From saving, to chatting, to keeping pictures, to showing relationship stats, etc. I like when the UI is elaborative and shows everything you need to know about. The only thing missing is an event page. If it had that this would had been the best UI in my opinion.

Another reason I consider this game polished.

Decent Dialogue: Not much to say. The dialouges are decent and when people talk it seems like a reasonable person is speaking. It does not have broken english and dialogues which make it seem like the family members just want to suck your dick at any moment. That is a plus in my book.

Cons:

Story: You may have a hard time finding events without a walkthough therefore this game needs an event page for each characters. This game also does not have the best story right now probably because this game in its very early stages (right not when I am writing this review this game in in V 0.5.1b) therefore this game needs more work for its story.

Lack of Sounds: Not much to say, this game does not have any sounds.

Time: This game has a time system which changes by the minute. I would prefer if the waiting system let us choose how may minutes to wait like 7 minutes or 20 minutes, not just limiting our choice to choose in between a quarter of a hour or choosing hours with it like either 15, 30, 45 or an hour. Let use choose the time by the minute by which we can wait because time matters in this game.

All in all I love the models and how polished this game is with it's UI. It just needs to add an event page and let us have the option to wait by the minute.
