It does matter. If you have opposing religions you have zero chance.
Hmm, you're right. Now why would the dev not put that in the requirements on the same screen. Thing is, it doesn't seem to work with any religion at all, only Atheism, so what gives?

Can someone tell me how to assign slaves to fight with me? The wiki says to add them to the party in the household slave management window, but I don't know where that is. Is this something I do at home before going out, while I'm out with my party, just before combat, or what?
There is a sword symbol beneath the picures of your main slaves. You can only click it to activate a main slave to follow (and fight) if you have a maximum of 3 Followers from your Houshold. But keep in mind to get then an armor and a weapon.

You cannot add or assign a slave into your team, because your team is full, unassign 1 follower in your team so you can assign a new follower in to your team.
Thanks! But damn, I was hoping I could add them to my existing party rather than just replacing an existing member.

So I was humming right along capturing slaves for the Fort Sera mission. Now it seems it is impossible for me to capture anymore male slaves in battle for me to finish the mission. Did I trigger something that won't let me capture anymore male slaves? They just don't become available when I go to loot.

Must be a strong team. For me he showed up about 45 days into the game. Took me til the 3rd month to build up to where I could take him down, although I was not using any of the top tiers. Would have been a bit easier then.

Yeah, i took followers with above 100 hp. it was affordable though, didn't even had a single prostitute in my household to increase my income they're all working as science professors in Acad. so it woudn't be too expensive to take them in.

Do you have rope and the room for them? You can only hold a max of 6 slaves at once, assuming a full party.

Bondage 96 and Flagellation 91 not even one successful roll. Manipulate at 99 and Charm at 83, no successful roll.
What's the point of these skills?

It seems Willpower is everything.
Line up bonuses, don't just rely on a high attribute. Make sure you shower regularly, get their Respect, try to raise their affection, arouse them if you can with baths and such, ease them into a little bit sometimes.

In the end you're convincing these little sluts to give up their everything--it would be lame if it was too easy.

So, if you don´t go full gung-ho you are doomed to be closed in the city and loose access to the outside? or the Dammed best vanishes per herself?

If it´s the first, I didn´t like it. It´s a harsh penalization to a non full combat playing style.
If you don't have a top-tier combat team I guess you're in the same boat as everyone else in the city: helpless and quailing until the Republic finally takes it down, mean time twenty days.

I've not encountered it yet, but from what I've seen of others' battles on the Discord, even a non-combatant MC could put together a team that would take it down, though Ayden, Felix, Doyle and the Black Guardsman might go down in the process. Nice thing about the Professor who heroically leads the defense of Ikaanos against the dread beast-reptile Godzilla is odds are he'll be targeted last! Then you can dismiss all those expensive mercs and get on with your game, it might cost you 50k for the satisfaction of playing the hero. Or you can wait ~20 days and stay away from Kasey's Park, your choice.

Finally getting into a playthrough in Grimdark mode, sadly the Terror from the Deep arrived in the first 10 days, I don't think I'll even get a shot at it :s

You can work up to it but the guards might kill it if you take too long. He showed up on about day 45 for me. He's very tough early in the game.

Here's a preview of 0.8.2.2.

The first part of 0822 will be released to our early access supporters (Tier4+) later this week.

THE PALACE

Entering The Palace requires the MC to have reached the rank of Nobleman, either through quests or with a very high Influence (15-20,000).

The Palace District will eventually feature three locations:
  • The Orient. A middle Eastern-style luxury restaurant/night club. Here, our MC can dine and be entertained - similar to The Golden Dragon. A dinner at The Orient might end up costing him $5,000 if he orders a pre-Severance wine bottle.
  • The Transit Department. A storage facility filled with all sorts of interesting stuff that you can "borrow" if you have enough influence.
  • Old City Hall. Ikaanos' high courthouse and administration building. A crumbling, Victorian-inspired castle that houses the mayor's office and the Ikaanian ministers. Will eventually offer a political mini-game location that the MC can use to score benefits, enable special interactions or unlock unique features.

EQUIPMENT
  • H.U.L.C. armor. A pre-severance utility suit that offers very high protection (Soak 50).
  • The Grenade Launcher. A new weapon that introduces AoE – enabling you to hit multiple targets in one attack.
  • Many other cool items and artifacts purchasable at The Transit Department.

AISHA HASAN

0.8.2.2 is not all high-tech weapons and fancy palaces, however; there's also a new slave coming - Aisha Hasan.

Aisha is a devout Muslim, even if she has a rather "bratty" personality after growing up in a lavish home at one of the fanciest streets in the palace district. She also features a dynamic wardrobe based on her current religion, wearing a hijab for her casuals and formal attires as long as she maintains the Muslim faith.

0.8.2.2 Alpha also features a long list of bugfixes, tweaks and other additions.
