So, how do rolls work? i dont really understand what my odds are with the two numbers that show up. Is the first number my roll, and does the second number represent the chance, with a + or - to my roll?
View attachment 5488240 View attachment 5488229

Also, another question, is there a way for NPCs to hit with their fists? i usually try to get enemies down to low HP and then hit them with my MC to enslave them, but its kind of hard since I use him as a ranged character, i want my melee NPCs to do that job instead, or is there a weapon that has better odds of incapacitating enemies without killing them?
In this game, aside from maybe some specific scenarios, a low roll is better than a high roll.

You're right that the first number is what you rolled. The second number tells you the target you needed to hit and how far away you were.

92-77 = 15, but you need to actually roll under it, so you would've needed to roll a 14.

In the second one, you attempted a charisma check you could not succeed.

As for weapons, if you give your guys no weapons, they use their fists.

Combat Staffs give you a reasonably high chance of incapacitating enemies, and the slightly weaker Whipping Cane (look for in sex shop) gives a 100% incapacitation chance, provided the enemy can be captured at all.

Every weapon if you look at its stats should tell you the incapacitation chance modifier. Base chance is 11% I believe.

Oh and another question: i have captured 2 space marines and i have them as captured slaves, I havent added them to the house yet, is it worth adding them? cause there is a warning saying it will decrease the happiness of everyone in the house.
I realized these guys are great for punching and capturing slaves to sell, but i dont know if imprisoning them so they dont reduce the happiness works (or if keeping them as captured slaves doesn’t reduce the overall happiness in the house).

Do they have any other use in the future, or is it better to just let them go? 1764615305892.png

Are these prowlers? If you have enough influence for the Hunt Research in the Crystal Hills you can add them to your household and then sell them from the npc menu->actions->project erebos. Easy 7500 cash each, no questions asked.

This. These and all other prowlers you can capture can be sold thusly to Hunt Research. Don't remember the exact amount of influence you needed to have to be able to do it. 7 or 8k, maybe?

EDIT: 6k influence.

Guys 1 question, is it possible to get a slave pregnant with a male slave to mix their genetics? Or only the MC can?
Nope. Only MC can impregnate.

For now at least. NPC relationships were added not that long ago, so I don't think it's out of the question that that might get implemented later.

I just started this last night and I am already considering restarting because I messed my character up lol. Its so much to take in at once, but do we have a definitive best starting follower group? I saw someone mention you can easily get a 0 salary group together right away thats really good?

0 salary group basically means just slaves.

There are quite a few good ones you can get relatively early, such as the Cultist Monk and Cassius Bauer, but these are guys you need to capture, requiring combat skill and likely other followers.

-first of all you can't really mess up a character, there's no wrong build since there's only one build, just get yourself a rifle and train ranged combat at home, aim for 90 as a skill cap, for any skill really, and have your "main squad" with you when you train, so they train too.

-There are a couple of great companion that you will not regret getting, Jack, Kyle, and Doyle are all rather cheap and decent character to have around for the whole game, Ansel and Bud are the bottom of the barrel, if you can do without them it's better.

-Do the Kymanto early quest, should give you a few thousands bucks, and a feel for how the game's play, always clic on RED highlighted text, it's clues, you don't want to miss thoses, lately Grim stopped doing that for quests (which is a damn tragedy) but hopefully he'll get passionate again and put his mind back on track, at least there's hoping.

-What you can do then is slave hunting, ideally with the slave hunter perk (that you take during character creation), equip staves as side arms for you and melee for you companion and go slave hunting, you can fetch anything from 700$ to 15000$ if you're lucky. you sell them either at redheaven or watery eyes early game, different slaver offer different prices so try to get the best offer.

-Finally get to Kasey's park, in the temple of Yidhra and get the two kids, Laika and Loden, asign them at scavenging (both), and they will get you all sort of junk that you will have no great use of early game but to sell back at the market.

-the real gem is laika with high acrobatic, once you got at 1000 influence you have access to the Gymnasium's competition in Crow's end, with her High skill she should win with not much trouble the semi finals, and earn you around 20000$ every 15 days or so, it should be a priority for you so don't miss out.

-once you got yourself enough money you buy a property like the Darkmere Lumber at the town hall for 35 000$, there's 750 000 wood to harvest, mean 750 000$ but don't let it deplete, let it rest, replant the tree, and resume operation, etc.

if you got there, you know how to play the game so you'll figure it out, no shame in save scumming, game's progression is all RNG so tap f5 or reload until you get the desired outcome.

have fun buddy.

Yeah I feel like this world was really missing the mass production of cheap alcohol and alcoholism, it is a universal and ancient truth in bleak civilizations. Good update.

For the first time ever, I decided not to poison the Kasey Park marines.
Imagine my surprise when they were were still all prowlers.
I figured the poison changed them into prowlers...
WTF? Why doesnt anyone the caravan boss or anyone else mention that there is a horde of oragnized prowlers there?
Everyone just calls them space marines. Nobody mentions that they are prowlers even when you dont poison them.

I think nobody else mentions it because nobody else knows, from the perspective of the locals they are normally in their gear so they just look like typical space marines if weirdly silent and unnerving. The only one who likely knows they are prowlers is the woman with them, Akari Ito who presents herself as their mouthpiece when engaging with the rest of the district.

So yeah, they were always prowlers, even before you got to them as they were involved in the Haalu incident. The poison is just poison.

I live in a tiny town. Everyone knows EVERYTHING. I get it though. Ikaanos Population 800k in the metro.
Just seems like the caravan master who's very livelyhood depends on getting rid of them who have some clue.
I have been following this game since 2021 (page 2 of this thread) but dont recall ever *not* trying to poison them so forgive my lack of trying new things. Im old and set in my ways.

Cultist Monk is in Stokke Hill in the park,

Cassius Bauer is in Kasey's Park and with a (random) woman you can capture.

There's also Truls Baardson in Watery Eyes who's easy to capture.

Big caveat however, Cassius and Truls are both going to be very angry about being enslaved and unless you have the means to stop and pacify them, they are likely to escape. Taking an NPC to the diner (events & activities) has a chance to lower their anger by 1, if you roll increase their affection by 2 (you can savescum/F5 this).

Not for now. No breeding and no incest so it's very difficult to get a perfect harem and household.

MOR is for now one of the best game in its category, it will become THE game when breeding will be added, even if I think the engine will difficultly support this in term of volume of datas.

a minor correction.
Semi-Final is held every 25 days.
Final is held every 50 days.

there was a minor addition (to how gym chance is calculated) a few versions back. Laika (while still being my favorite champ) will probably need additional training to properly compete.

the most reliable NPC for the competition is Valerie Borsow (from Furry's). She'll have no trouble competing even without training.

the NPC that can hit the most bonus would be Celeste Sunderland (Connor's Daughter). although she may also need training.

on the side note :

for a day-to-day early game income, i would highly recommend recruiting Enya and assign her as Gladiatrix. don't forget to have her fight Raven daily. should net you somewhere around 2.5k to 3k for each fight.

-Finally get to Kasey's park, in the temple of Yidhra and get the two kids, Laika and Loden, asign them at scavenging (both), and they will get you all sort of junk that you will have no great use of early game but to sell back at the market.
i do not recommend scavenging (or assigning NPCs as a scavvie) at any point in the game at all. the yield is simply too low to be worth the investment.

while processing merchandise can be a (oh-so-VERY) lucrative business, relying on scavvies to get them simply won't cut it, no matter how many scavvies you assign. better utilize those NPCs in other areas. though admittedly, there aren't many suitable jobs for Laika/Loden (as children) in the first place.

scavenger is one of the earliest job in the game, that (unlike hunting,) simply does not age well and is pretty much outdated.

if you still insist on having a scavvie or two ( or 5 :kek: ), here's how best utilize it :

- recruit NPCs with Techie trait. *at least* 20 of them. then assign them to a job that won't consider them as *busy/away*. ex: a guard, maid/butler, janitor.

- scrapping merchandise manually (requires 2 merch) will net you 1 gold (guaranteed drop with 20 techies) and 1 durasteel (guaranteed with 30 techies).

even if you skip processing those into an actual crafted products, selling raw gold bars and durasteel is enough for most things.

side note:
pirate fights (in darkmere port) will net you around 150 to 250 merchandise per group.
house raids will net you somewhere around 20k to 50k (or more) merchandise per year.

thanks for that, I didn't properly checked.

My second personal favorite is Kelly, she came with high acrobatic and won all competition without breaking a sweat, and just like laika, she's completely free, maybe a more reasonable starting option than hiring a black guard and crafting a pile of assault rifles.

for a day-to-day early game income, i would highly recommend recruiting Enya and assign her as Gladiatrix. don't forget to have her fight Raven daily. should net you somewhere around 2.5k to 3k for each fight.
good idea, that's great recommendation, though personally outside her perk I think she kinda suck ass as a fighter (maybe it's just me that had bad rolls) I usually just go capture the fugitive champion at the Kahill outpost.

i do not recommend scavenging (or assigning NPCs as a scavvie) at any point in the game at all. the yield is simply too low to be worth the investment.

I agree with you on every point, but my reasoning behind that is that in the specific context of early game I see multiple benefit:
- they pay for themselves, 15 merch a days for 4$ a piece really help you cope with the first days expenses.
- they don't bring just merch but also a few stims, energy cells and artifacts, that can really give you a boost early on.

I have a crew of scavs, bring me 50 merch every days that goes straight into my workshop, boosting the incomes from 574$ to 1147$... which is far from optimal but ultimately more than just having them sitting idle in my living room.
