This dev has actually FINISHED his last project and only now did he start a new project.
That is something which 99% of devs here have never done before, so it gives me a lot of confidence in this dev.
After the next Update I might even consider actually joining his patreon. I liked this short demo but I can't really say if this game is worth it since it was just a really short VN with barely 5 minutes "gameplay", so I'd like to see some more before deciding to go all in on this.

Recently pledged and checked out the discord. From what I understand, dev is aiming to release some time near the end of May.

I mean, they did say earlier they were aiming for a 40 day release schedule, and this was back in mid April so you never know. I mostly pledged bc I wanted to see dev notes and plans for upcoming content.
If I die or get DMCA'd I will stop making the game, otherwise it will get finished.
Hopefully! I am away for a week from the 14th though which I forgot about, but we'll see. It's coming along great so far.
Just the next update, which will take you to the end of day 2.
So many 5 star reviews based on what people think the game will be like rather than what it currently is right now. I'm excited too, but reviews like this hurt the function of ratings. Why can't people wait until the game has more content so they can give a glowing review that's based on more than hype?

Because you can change the review whenever you want, why rate someone terrible when you liked what it had so far. At that point just don't rate it.
Out of curiosity Mochi, how many days do think the game will cover, or is that too spoilery a question?
Very few people actually do change their reviews. Even then, few people are rating what they liked so far, they're only talking about what their expectations are. The overwhelming majority of games with high reviews on this site are abbandonware propped up by people praising it for being a good foundation years ago. Assuming that any game will become the version of the game that is in your imagination is not good for reviewing, even if this game has a much better shot at that. It still has a chance of getting DMCA'd before it's story can go anywhere. A game's reviews shouldn't reflect development that hasn't happened yet.
The alternative isn't to leave negative reviews, it's to abstain from leaving a review until there's enough story or gameplay to judge it, or to leave a review that solely covers what is shown in the demo, in this case all that can be talked about fairly is the art and ui. While those are good, very few reviews mention them. The reviews are for people who haven't decided if the game is worth trying or believing in yet. What can someone from that perspective get out of these reviews?

People use tags and screenshots to decide if a game is worth playing on this site- as if people would take reviews seriously on f95- especially for games with these combination of tags(Even if they do- it's the weighted rating- not the actual review). The demo is very promising and is from a dev with a complete game under their belt which is also a very polished and quality game... albeit pretty different in style. But this one is just a really refreshing take in a sea of mediocre-overdone cliches. It's definitely unique and going in a good direction. Like an early access title- devs would benefit the most from reading those reviews... if the feedback is all positive then they know they don't have to compromise on their vision for the full game. If many people mention what would be a good idea- or something that bothered them.. maybe it's something to change. At this rate though.. at this pace.. I think it should go exactly as it is.
If there's anything I wonder about it's where it will fall on the scale between voyeur/teasing/implied action and actual sex scenes. If the game will be more to imagine what is happening along with a collection of nudes in the cards- as a sort of artful nude modeling or if it will become a more upfront porn game with sex scenes by the end of it. Or even if there will be a real villain who wants to take advantage of things- and schemes behind the characters or if it's just as we have... a fair(though with obvious coercion as any good businessman would do) pay-for-promo deal being set up. The "villain" or more accurately the "conflict" could be the corruption in relation to the business' connections rather than any individual and that's enough to create a mystery worth solving for phoenix.. Devs last game certainly went all the way with its x-rating but this one is set up to be more voyeuristic.. and it's rare to see a game do slow building corruption well. I'd still like things to be shown but that's something i'd prefer for the later half of the game or even only the very end with escalating ero up until then until Phoenix has to start feigning blindness to make it somewhat believable he doesn't barge in and make the realization even if Maya denies it.
Not sure how many days the game is meant to be either.. maybe a week? 2? Anything more seems rather ambitious at this rate unless the game becomes less linear and more about collecting flags to queue progress that players can miss and lose time with.

Pheonix Wright: Ace Attorney is the first game. Then Justice For All and Trials and Tribulations. Highly recommended.

The entire series is out now on most platforms iirc. You can get the Ace Attorney HD trilogy which has the first three games, there's the recently released 'Apollo Justice' trilogy which covers games 4-6, and the Great Ace Attorney Chronicles which consists of two prequel games.
Or the detective version of Ema Skye...Shame, plus the fact that the timeline is established as two years after the original game means that we're still at Trials and Tribulations.
On one hand, that means characters like Maggey Byrde could make an appearance and ya boi Gumshoe could finally pull some bitches.
On the other hand, Athena won't be appearing
(though her college self in the Investigations games might be fair game?)The Investigations spinoff games are the only ones not available in most platforms.
A shame, because the second Investigations game is at least one of the best in the entire series.
Looks very promising so far!
