HTML - Abandoned - Mayor of Mount Pleasant [v0.4.1] [Hugo Games]

This is very much my fetish. Large (ish) scale corruption of a society. Lots of great pictures and gifs, good writing and so on.
I wish that the flow was a bit more streamlined. Sometimes you have to just skip through a week to get past certain hurdles. Not my usual suggestion but I'd say it's worth building a bit broader before going deeper. More visiting events and stuff like that could possibly be a useful addition. I know it was a focus on the thing lacking so I want to make clear that this is still 5 stars as a semi-early build, had been 3-4 if it was a finished game, but as an ongoing project I look forward to the next update.

Damn, bright future for that game ! Clear to understand, complexity of game systems growing with the story nicely. Really nice writing.
Did not read html stories in a long time, but did really enjoy the characters.
I was not ready for that, came for the kwick nuttin, but got attract by the story development xD
Might be personal taste.
I'm really not into fake tits, I'm even super into imperfectly nice natural booty an melons, I like gravity and meat, BUT... the coherence of the porn, the writing and the nice selection of videos sell it for me.
Would love more natural bodies, but will not deny the kinks of the OC

The game does a very good job of what it's trying to be.

The stuff is pretty standard, town corruption kind of thing, but it's well executed. It's not realistic or restrained or anything like that but perhaps "paced" would be a good word to describe it

Characters are kind of whatever, but relationship progress is clean and satisfying. There's a decent balance of repeatable actions and one time events that make the story flow in a nice way, at least until you start running out of content. By the end there is a lot of waiting to be done, but that will probably be fixed as more updates come along.

All in all a solid HTML game, that does a lot of things right

Sexy characters, fun writing, the pace of corruption feels good. Also doesn't randomly switch porn stars for the same character to suit situations, something that always takes me out of games that use real porn.

For such a low release version, there's a lot of content. Definitely can be building up to a huge game as long as the developer sticks with it.

Only constructive feedback would be that it needs some kind of way to slowly lower the towns corruption and a guide to show where and how.
Maybe also a personal trainer for $X to raise fitness by 3 a day rather than 1.

Images and videos match 99.9% of the time with the text which is a tick in the immersion box.

First off, it's a fun game. I played all the current (0.2) content, I enjoyed most of it.

It is though simultaneously both a bit disjointed (there's a pretty extreme premise that's sort of just thrown out there, a lot of the events feel like they just happen) and on rails (it has the vague structure of a sandbox, but there's very little player choice in the content, not much meaningful gameplay, you basically just work through the events as they unlock). It's an early version, and obviously that can potentially be rounded out as it's developed, but right now it just is what it is.

The writing is pretty strong, nicely smutty in the sex scenes, generally coherent and natural overall, even if personally some of the sex positive philosophy feels like a forced justification trying to explain the premise. Again though, I mostly enjoyed it. Just a little pet peeve, I like that the game recognizes that so many of the models have fake tits. I understand there's limited selection, but it always feels off to me when a game is pretending a girl who is obviously bolted isn't.

Use of images is one of the really strong points on this one, both in terms of being hot smut, and also working the pictures and the story so that they fit together for the plot and the characters.

It definitely needs fleshed out a bit more, both the events and the sandbox filled in a bit. My ultimate wish would be some real player choice in what the main character is like, how some of the girls are corrupted, what kind of town it becomes. But short of that, just fleshing out the town so the player can enjoy the fruits of their labor will go a long way. I'd probably give it 4 stars on a true 5 point scale, but the scale here feels fairly compressed, so 5 it is. Fun game, hope it gets developed more.

Only played 0.1 but good writing, intriguing start, fun variety of characters, and just overall a fun premise that I hope they really fully build on. Lots of funny directions to take a horny mayor. Not sure I'll download every single update but this definitely going to keep an eye on this one.

Holy shit - for a .2b version there is a fair bit of content and the idea is pretty damn awesome! If only it were a little more 'open world' with a bunch of repeatable events etc. it would be near perfect!

So much content considering it's currently only a version 0.2. The writing is really good and the gifs/ videos are consistent and fit the narative. Gameplay has been well thought out so it's not grindy like a lot of games end up being. Wish more games were like this.

Written well, and with a good amount of content for a 0.2. Has a wide variety of characters with some differing body types, providing more variety than usually found in an HTML game. Corruption aspect is done well and is reasonably believable as well.

Great use of the HTML game formula, with excellent writing. Large selection of characters even in this early stage of development. Definitely one of the more unique concepts for this type of game. A must play for fans of corruption!

I love the idea of corrupting the town and people at the same time, and I liked the creator's previous game, so I'm looking forward to how this is going to progress. Good flavors, good writing, real porn.

From the original write of Bimbo Life Coach (later taken over by others as I understand it), Mayor of Mount Pleasant is an obvious spiritual successor. This time the writer is headed for a more general approach to corruption, not just silicon fuck dolls, but many of the principles are the same: you have a dream and it's you against the world. Well, you with the not-to-be-understated assistance of the fuckable women you draw to your side.

The amount of content is more than generous for a first release. The only real criticism is that it can feel a little sparse, particularly towards the end of this version, as your attention is often focused on one plotline and you may be counting down days to get the next action. Overall, there's a shit ton to go at for version 0.1 and with the characters to be added I'm sure it's going to be very different on that front in future.

The writing is as good as I expected. Characters are individuals with their own motives, there's a real plot, the dialogue is good, few spelling/grammar errors, and a consistent feel to the game.

While there's not yet any pressure on it, there's promise that the mechanics of the decision making will matter, having to balance our popularity, relationships with others, and finances, to slowly corrupt the town while tightening our grip on power.

There's a lot of games with "potential" but this game has a writer capable of delivering on it.

Honestly the game I'm looking forward to most. Easily in the top 5 of writing for these type of games. Most of the videos/pics are great, there are a few that are a little meh but think that's more of personal preference. The management/sandbox is by far the best when it comes to having some depth and not feeling like grinding.

Only real two complaints at this point are obvious lack of content, nothing is really finished but I still got quite a few hours of enjoyment out of it right now. I would like the navigation system a little reworked, I do like their method of telling you what you have available but it's also a little annoying having to use the journal if you need to wait for a specific time as the time skipping aspects are a little annoying when you do need to do it.

Review for version 0.1.

For such en early version it has a fairly nice amount of content, although most characters don't have any content yet. Mechanics are insteresting too, makes you walk the rope between balancing the town's budget and pissing people off while trying to make the whole town sluttier in the process.

Hope new versions come and flesh it out more.

Been play every release, and it's going Great!
Very little grinding/grinding mechanics. Great amount of content.
Nice gameplay (--> talking about the variables and choices you make).
Story is pretty good, pretty cool concept, interesting depth and word-building (like how political everything can be).
Good videos/pictures and pornstar choices.
Will watch the game's progress, for sure!

You are roleplaying as a politician, as you make decisions to wiggle into power and pants.

Interesting idea, definitely takes someone with experience to pull off a convincing political game.

Currently it is mostly building content, but the skeleton of game looks promising. The navigation can be a little clunky, and will need to be improved should the content need lotsa travelling but otherwise a great start.

This dev knows what they want, and has a clear idea how to develop it. Very respectable and I look forward to their project.

For other future devs that might see this or the review below, do NOT fall into their diversity trap esp if you are solo or a tiny team. Making a token "sexual orientation" character just pisses the demographic off unless it is already complementary to the main kink you are building it for. Too many devs have tried and failed, by adding a bunch of shallow contradictory kinks and making their game worse.

Really good premise. Overall enjoyable. Looking forward to the next update. The characters and setting provide a very interesting approach to this kind of adult game. Especially enjoyed the shortcuts.
Suggestions:
Getting around the map can be confusing and frustrating when you first begin to play the game. So it should be streamlined.
Since you are a mayor, I think more diverse sexual orientations and genders would also provide an interesting and challenging play-through.

I stopped playing quite early in the game, not because it was bad, but because it looked to be extremely promising once the world gets filled out a bit more (not that there isn't a lot of content for a first release already).

I just had to drop an early review to let people know to watch for this in the future. First of all, the writing is excellent. The dialogues are extremely natural and fluid. The grammar seems spotless, as far as I can tell. The characters behaves extremely realistically within their roles. The game is surprisingly grounded for a HTML power fantasy game.

The gameplay loop is quite nice as well. It looks to be set up as an actual sandbox environment with great progression for the individual characters and for the overall goals of running the city.

Expect wonderful things from this game if the dev manages to deliver his vision. It could very well join the ranks of the top HTML real-porn games on this site.
