and now its getting worse
even if I click on ignore, it crashes after 3 dialogues

Have you unpacked the newest Version into the folder of the previous release and overwritten?

it crashed after Melody lose her virginity
maybe she dont liked it :)
It seems that you've missed a variable in week 7. Can't tell if it's because of an hiccup on ren'py's part for you, or if you've (previously) played a version where that variation was not implemented and have played past any part where it would be available in your game play.
If you share a save, I (or someone who's faster than me) will fix it for you.

Why?

A lot of us prefer it this way. All the girls have their fans and I wouldn't want to be forced to go with one I didn't. It's why I hate DmD.
I can promise you there are more people who are interested in 2 or more of the girls than those who are only interested in exactly only one.

Besides it doesn't matter because it would be easy, trivial even, to make the game in a way where you can choose to be with just one girl OR with any of the girls.

And there are plenty of games out there for people interested in more than 1 girl.

Doesn't matter how easy it would be or not, this is how it is. The dev shouldn't have to change anything to suit you, it's easy enough for you to toddle off and find something else.

And this game could be another one, at no expense on the people who want to stay with only 1 girl. The game would be objectively more popular and appeal to more people. It's just stupid not to do it and honestly lazy of the developer to say "if you want it, keep multiple saves, I can't be bothered to help you".

This is how it is, and it's just bad and I'm voicing my opinion about it. Where are you going with this?

People are interested in 2 or more of the girls, thats why you make more than 1 save.
And that's extremely annoying to do. It's like I'm doing the job for the developer when they could have easily done it instead. Not worth it.

I disagree... ...and I'm saying that even though I'm a "gotta fuck 'em all" guy in general...

The thing is, that I play these games for a mix of story and visual stimulation. And characters reacting to what you do is essential for a consitent storyline - and in my opinion it would be foolish to expect that every woman is totally fine with MC fucking everything that moves.
So on days where I don't care about story and just want the visuals I watch porn - and on days where I want "the cherry on top" (--> a story) I don't really care if I can have everything in one playthrough or if I have to play something multiple times with/for different characters as long as it's a consitent experience with each of them.

I think what people are trying to tell you is that not every game has to cater to every taste, and it's 100% okay for you to not enjoy a particular game that doesn't appeal to you. Even if it was so easy to make this game into something you want it to be, the people who make it are under absolutely no obligations to do so. They're making the game they want to make the way they want to make it and if the result doesn't speak to you, you've got a LOT of other options in the adult VN space. I'd be happy to recommend a few of them to you if you want.

It's better to use the Copy button at the bottom of the crash, then paste the crash message in a spoiler, than to take a screenshot. Much easier to get data out of text than out of a picture of words.

The crash happened because the variable v_rel_melody_firsttime is not defined. It's defined in week 7, when she lost her virginity.

The best way to fix this is to open the console and set the variable to True. Enable the console with UnRen.

I'm assuming there was a bugfix release that added the definition of this variable, and you played the version without the fix. Otherwise the variable would be defined when you hit week 7.

Jeff Steel please pass this on to the programmer. Variables that are added to a file after a release MUST be defined with the "default" keyword. Otherwise, people who have saves after the definition won't have the variables defined.

Dude! WTF, mate!?!

(Only joking, I know I'm a n00b at coding, so it's good to have someone who (probably?) knows more about the subject confirm it.)

Ren'Py allows dynamic instantiation of variables? I don't know the system at all, but it sounds like that's what you are describing for v_rel-melody_firsttime and why it can't be found from the later saves.

A normal variable is created the first time it is set. If it is set inside an if block that isn't taken, and then accessed outside that block, it will throw an error.

What I believe happened is the variable didn't exist in the original 0.6 release, then was added in a 0.6 bugfix release. Danathor played the original 0.6 release, then saved the game after the block where Melody lost her virginity. A later release added the variable there, but the save was already past it, so the variable was never set. This later caused the error when the (nonexistant) variable was accessed. The coding in Melody seems to lack the appropriate rigor.

The default keyword will cause the variable to be set at startup or save load time, no matter where in the game the definition is located, as long as the variable does not currently exist.
