RPGM - Completed - Meltys Quest [v1.2r] [Happy Life]

Quite a quality JRPG, overall executed on a neutral-to-good level.
Simple and quite funny plot, silly, choppy but cute heroine.
HUGE amount of costumes, but what a pity, they almost no interesting H application as in the scenes.
Small world, here it is well seen that the developers tried to fit into their creative budget and production facilities, for which they are praised, they coped admirably and did not leave any ambiguities for the player.
If the developers had expanded the number of scenes it would be a masterpiece, but so, definitely worth your attention !

I finish the game, it has some good content but at the end was repetitive, the combat very basic and the dialogues were not the best , even if was compensated for the CGI and the feeling to advance to see new events the recompense at the end was not enough.

It's...okay! The main protagonist is adorable, deeply love her and her personality, but the scenes themselves feel very static and predictable despite that. I wish it was a bit more complex or open, because the costume gimmick is absolutely my shit.

Massive points for the chill and relaxed story and humor of the game and the characters something which i havent seen around in a lot of games.

The MC being a slut and open to sex is quite refreshing if you overdosed on pure catholic girl overdosing on drugs called ugly bastard smegma and turning like saki yoshida at the end of the game, thank god this game dont have that

also you can bang your father if youre not into the mother which is another plus on the wincest chart

So in content, this is perhaps the second or 3rd game with the most content I have played. I spend 12 hours to get 6 out of the 7 endings (without cheating: using the cat), I was lacking 3 scenes in the ends but after all this I will give it a pass.

Now, having said that. I can say there are a lost of CGS, which target different audiences. The art is good, some oversized breast, but overall is ok. The scenes and outfits are well integrated in gameplay. And different to other games, being slutty is not a punishment, but actually makes the game easier. The outfits are hot, and there are a shit ton of them.

Now for normal gameplay is a normal turn based RPG, don't expect more than that. I do have 1 problem with the artificial difficulty. Since there are some bosses which can't be taken down, unless you farm levels. Like 1 attack which is kill switch is quite literary a sure kill. So having to farm to take some bosses is a no in my book. Same with just making it harder by making the boss attack twice per turn.

But after all this, it is a game worth investing some time into, getting to 1 end is fairly fast, if you ditch all side quest, but there is more than enough content if you want to take your time.

The art in this game is superb, with lots of varied costumes for the heroine. The corruption path is done really well, and the story is entertaining. All in all, it’s an awesome game with beautiful graphics and one of my favorites.

The gameplay is your average RPG Maker but with actual type advantages. It can be long game, especially if you take your time reading, getting all endings, 100% it, or it can be a good medium length.

Last words: I had a lot of fun with the game and think it has a good balance between gameplay and grind. It took me about 8 hours to complete it 100%

It's your typical 'quantity over quality: the H-game', it tries hard to be lighthearted but lacks any humor. It tries to be casual but has grind. It tries to be edgy at moments but antagonists are too pathetic for this. MC has different costumes but she is the same in all of them, her persona lacks any personality, if she was killed and her dead body was pounded in some other dark H-game I won't even bother since she has a charisma of inflatable woman at best. In game I got the moment of 'futanari evil queen' or something and dropped this game since I watched many other hentai scenes already and NONE clicked with me, all of them are superficial and just copy from games where these scenes had nice prologue and right atmosphere but here they are nothing because game lacks an atmosphere and CORE idea.

It's a nice game that will take you a few hours, the story is not that long, and you play a hot tanned princess. I'm torn between 4 and 5 stars, but... I think I'll be a little more merciful.

First the story. The story is quite ordinary. Monsters and humans, war. That's usually it. However, a few plot twists towards the end of the game help you find the story enjoyable. Of course it's not great. But I can't say that I got bored with the story. There are six endings in total, collecting them all is a bit long and difficult, but.. I did it!

Gameplay. The gameplay is really good. It has nice and not too difficult combat (at least in normal mode). There are many different types of outfits, each outfit has a different feature and the SP you need to unlock this feature. Apart from that, attacking the right monster in the right way, using the right skills, etc. I can say that the game satisfied me enough in terms of gameplay.

Scenes and art. Absolutely hot. It has a wide variety of scenes such as straight, lesbian, futa scenes. The characters are hot and attractive. The dialogues are good, but some scenes are a little too long in terms of text.

Okay, that's all I had to talk about. I definitely recommend it for both sex and gaming.

Quick summary:
I have been meaning to play Meltys Quest for a long time, (years) mostly due to people referring to it positively, across different platforms. To put it concisely, this game is simple to understand, has a policy of no BS (one major exception at the end), lots of convenience, goes to places (it's imaginative) serves its purpose in the adult content delivered, and has a very good protagonist. I wouldn't call it a golden standard, or use the word best, but it's good on most parameters, and a very safe bet, if you haven't played it.

Good:

- Meltys (the protagonist) - I do know what a "Gyaru" is, but no one cares about offshoots of sub-cultures. Meltys is supposed to be a sort of delinquent, with an attitude and foul mouth. I think her appearance works exceedingly well (tanned), but her behavior during the h-scenes is the real prize, because she is a "good-natured pervert" at heart, and basically anyone can sweet talk her. With Meltys, NO! means try a little bit harder, and it's a big YES!. I liked this approach, sometimes it's bordering "lovey-dovey" sex, which is unexpected, when a battle defeat is involved.

- H-scenes - Continuing from above, even though a lot of these come from defeat in battle, what you have here differs from the usual rape tag, and the monsters can be sweet and even compliment Meltys during the act. When this happens the protagonist just melts... and reveals her true colors. It's funny, but it's not "impeding my business" kind of funny. There's also scenes without Meltys, and I don't need to remind you that many games in the genre, fall in the trap of over relying on their lead, and the title grows stale visually.

- Quality of life, simplified mechanics - The game doesn't waste your time. Need resources, they tell you where they are; Need to increase the "slut stat", the game has everything categorized, and the locations. Mastering skills from different outfits is fast. Events are marked with a star or heart. They give you extra gold to buy almost everything you want, and access all content. To summarize, they want you to enjoy their game, and that is always a plus in my book.

- Side arcs, some twists in the main story - What I mean are some side characters and their quests, like the princess, the butler and the orc. No spoilers, but some of these add a bit of color to the world, and once again, not everything revolving around Meltys, is a good policy, more devs should consider it, in my opinion. Regarding the main story, the best part is just one notion that I don't remember seeing anywhere (a different kind of forbidden love, and the outcome), Don't want to spoil it, should be surprising.

Neutral (or it's not enough)

- Needs more daring tags - It's purely personal (hence in neutral) but I needed a bit more. Talking about extreme is tricky, and subjective, but I think "birthing scenes" is the closer it gets to it (no real pregnancy mechanics, here). Anyway, it's not an objective complain, I'm stating that what you get here is not enough for me. Sounds contrived, but it's where I'm at, right now.

Bad:

- The OST picks - Not sure what happened there, but some tracks seem completely out of place. Imagine the protagonist masturbating wildly like her life depends on it, and then the most quiet, peaceful music just enters your ears. If it's comedy, it flew over my head, and there's more examples like that.

- The "Hyperspace" - The hyperspace is a section of the game, comprised of 4 dungeons, right before the final boss, where they decide to switch to a different RPG type, and introduce a swap character mechanic.

What in the actual tarnation possesses Japanese developers, to introduce stupid crap in the game, during "overtime". Are they sadistic? Do they want me to refund the game, and get bad reviews? Is it the third absolute law of the universe after death and taxes? Fock that shet!!! it's preposterous, and I'm not above uninstalling something right before the end. (Was a close call).

Overall, this is a 9/10, a very good game with almost no flaws. That doesn't mean it's going to enter any hall of fame, but asking for greatness in the world of adult (sex) JRPG's, hardly seems fair, outside a handful of exceptions. Highly recommended, give it a try if you haven't yet.

exceptional artwork, scenes, and outfit selection that are unfortunately wasted on a shallow game. the story is passable but you will feel like you are on rails the whole time as the scope of the game is very small. easy combat that you will breeze through.

Corruption - it doesn't exist.Everything about H action in this game - worse than ever.

If in game cut off all this questionable H content - It is play very smooth.
Art is pretty damn good and bright until it goes to sex.Core gameplay also not irritating and even fun but not beyond good.
Story is decent,it has one cool choise to one of endings.
More valuable things from here for me was music - very good selected it get vibe like old anime.

Remtairy does a great job with games and this game proves my point. You got a good mix of MxF as well as FxF action in this game. It's a corruption game when you get more and more corrupted as you go along. There's different places to go, multiple side quests and lots of scenes for everyone to enjoy. Defintely a must-play game for those getting into the eroge scene or just haven't played yet,

An ok game. Some of the scenes in this game is great what makes it worth the try. The beginning part was really interesting for me. But after that the game was mostly boring. I kinda expected it to be like karryn's prison but it has many lackings. Also all the females felt slutty from the get go, the corruption/slut system is there but wasn't interesting. I wanted to give it 4 star but I give it a 3 because I think there are many better games that did the things this one did way better.

love everything about this game, and tbh the only thing stopping me from giving full 5 stars is that there's no monsters win ending with meltys falling/joining her sisters. though the succubus princess esmerelda's ending could be counted as monsters win while humans also win, as at least in my playthrough it lead to a royal human orc union (emi and her orc) um royal prostitute in Garnet, dahlia being true to her sexuality with her mom, and the truest royal union between succubi and humans with princess esmerelda and princess meltys

Average, no animations, short story, not many activities, but overall ok, will not play the second time.

Could run on Mac with wine is a plus.

The plot is generic but interesting! It will always keep you engaged and interested so you'll never get bored reading the entire story!

The hentai scenes are hot as hell!!! This will make you nut in 0.1 seconds for sure. Hentai scenes are covered everywhere especially the game over screen and interacting with NPC's give you the scenes!

The gameplay is pretty decent!You don't need to do a lot of grinding to progress through the game since it goes with the story. Lots of interesting mechanics since the enemies and player will show their naked bodies when their HP is low!

Overall the game is 5/5, definitely recommend for beginners and veterans.

Very well-polished game. Scenes are really good and easy to obtain. Combat is fine, not too tedious. Scene quality is very good, art is very good. The character itself is kinda meh, im not a fan of the blonde hair on such tanned skin, but not really an issue. Story is fine, not amazing but not bad. Some scenes can be a bit annoying to get as you need to get specific items which idk how to get. 8.6/10
