So there is this thing I've found out that I'm not sure if anyone realized about and was driving me nuts.
At the orphanage dungeon, not sure if it happens at the beginning but I'm not done with the boss fight there yet, I was exploring to find all ghost spots and chests. If you continue normally the map changes as expected.
1733313370389.png leads to 1733313698521.png but if you go back 1733313780941.png and if you go back 1733313824533.png
As you can see by now it's already broken as you spawn behind the exit. Then you take it and it leads to the one expected.
1733313934587.png and exiting is the right one.
My guess is the maps look very similar and the dev simply chose the wrong map, but then I wonder what path to take to get to get to here and grab that item and enter those buildings.

I'll keep exploring but anyway but just in case it happened to someone else, I was struggling exploring and it was just this bug.

I believe this also happen when u exploring the lab, when u have a quest to kill the boss in the lab at right side small door. When u get out that room map layout also change, you can actually exploring another kind of first and basment floor.
My theory is when u enter the crystal you actually enter someone else memory and it's broken tho many year. Just like when you were kid you remember that place but when u older stuff change or u barely remember the detail of the place.

Oh no, this one is before the crystal. It'd make some sense if it was like that and intended but spawning on the other side of the arrows to move maps is already something broken. But the interesting thing is both ghosts say the same or something similar, as if they were different versions of the same map and using the wrong one in one of the paths. Also one of them is dark with the houses blocked and the other one is light and there is no rubble at the doors. So... maybe that's the actual map inside the crystal, before being ruins, and it was linked wrong. I'll see once I reach it.

  • Affection caps at 100 (unless the cap is raised post-story), but all the menus show a max of 200.
  • Dei's fourth scene looks like it should be cowgirl/riding instead of "Missionary".
  • Gathering points sometime during the third crystal area start giving out "itemN". I cannot pinpoint exactly when this started since my earliest save is right before the boss. Swapping to base game files fixes the issue temporarily.

Fixed ItemN. The original Missionary text is "正常位" which means the translation is correct at the very least so I will leave it as the dev intended. The last one is also the same in the original game which I don't generally fix unless they are critical.

Ooh, I really like what you're doing here, with a git repo full of translations. I might contribute some stuff if I notice issues. So far I only saw some mildly weird sentences; e.g. "なんでこんな人……人?[...] 人ですらないからね" should probably be something like "Why did you let such a human... person? Into the house?" and then "It's not even a human."

I was going to ask "what kind of difficulty is translated as 'Customize'??", but looking at the original, it sure is just カスタマイズ. :)

Yup. Whenever I think GPT TLed something wrong its actually pretty common that either the dev or I am wrong instead. :HideThePain:

But yeah edits are welcome! I generally review them all just make sure to ping me if I'm taking too long to review and merge.

I may have fucked up the first time try again lol.
I'm still getting a blank item from gathering spots (probably #529 or itemN). No telling which item it's supposed to be, since the pop-ups are displaying the translated items just fine.

Additionally, the Aqua Wreath armor only has 30 DEF when it should have 90, and Dei's Nitpicking skill actually costs TP instead of MP (it's probably coded correctly, and the base game description may have the same typo).

For the blank item its likely an item from an old version that the dev switched out. No idea what it was before. I'll check the descriptions.

Cracked open my save and found that the blank item is #529 in the database. I've got 27 of the things, so it's either a common drop, or the gathering points as a whole are giving out 529 instead of their actual drop pool. Unfortunately, I'm not savvy enough to decipher and diagnose the CommonEvents.json.

I'm also missing at least 1 cooking recipe ("Death Nugget", the reward from the foxes in the snowy mountain).

What's the translation policy on when the original description is wrong? Like how Reload Support's description says "recover mana to max" (even in the original), yet actually restores 50% (as in the short description).

I generally don't touch mistakes by the dev since I'm never sure of their actual intentions. But feel free to make those fixes if you like. As long as things aren't changed to something blatantly wrong I'll still approve it.

Adding to the other post, guess it was true at least that map is totally messed up: If you are in the crystal world and take the supposedly now invisible path, the one below in the screenie that exists in the real world,

it sends you to the outside world equivalent map and if you go back you are placed on the left of the map exit, thankfully not softlocked since you can still touch it from behind, and then you aren't in the crystal world anymore. I doubt it's intended but it's making exploring punishing rather than rewarding. I thought I had found some hidden path but it was just a bug so better checking out it's possible to go out of a room and saving often.
