Very solid release. The game is visually impressive: the environments are polished, the animations feel smooth, and the characters are genuinely likeable. The story quickly becomes intriguing, and this first update already offers several hours of content, even if it mostly focuses on setup and some teasing. It works well, though, because you can clearly feel that the world is being built with care.
The game appears both ambitious and complex, with multiple story threads and real attention given to how relationships between characters evolve. My only hope is that this level of ambition won’t lead to excessively long waits between future updates, because the potential is strong and it definitely leaves you wanting more.
What’s especially refreshing is that the writing avoids the usual shortcuts and clichés often found in the genre. The characters feel like they have real personalities and believable motivations, which makes the experience more immersive. I truly hope the writing quality remains this strong in the chapters to come.
