Metalheads?

I'm just wondering how many of you get your kicks by muting the game you're playing, throwing on some brutal metal in the background and playing your favorite games?
What genres do you prefer?
Favorite bands?
Favorite albums and or songs from those bands?
Post some links so we can discover them if we haven't heard them yet!

Right now I'm absolutely enthralled by Shadow of Intent's entire discography. The Album "Reclaimer" has had my attention for the past few months. Aside from them, I'm heavily into Black Tongue, The Black Dahlia Murder, Dissection (Swedish blackened death metal). I also have an affinity for folk country music like Sturgill Simpson, Tyler Childers etc... AND I love shit like $uicideboy$, Night Lovell.

Fun fact!! Shadow of Intent started out as a joke on the internet. The vocalist and guitarist were both in love with the Halo series, so they decided it would be cool to base a musical group off of them. If you're familiar with the games, you'll notice the striking similarities of the Halo storyline and the lyrics of "Reclaimer",

I like some metal but probably wouldn't be considered a metalhead. Am extremely happy that Tool finally arrived in the 21st century last week and have released their music on all the streaming sites (them being my favorite band)

I'm more of a "classical metal head". I grew up listening to shit like Kill 'em and Ride the Lightening. Megadeth and Iron Maiden will always be an all time favorites.

Lately I've been listening to some Amaranthe (which is an odd blend of metal and pop), and revisiting Damage Plan (sadly short lived).

I mean shit, this conversation could go on for days...
