So. What was the excuse the dev made up? Was there the news he promised? The game, btw, is incredibly shitty in every aspect except for the girls models, and there's no content except the extra scenes, which still were very strange and, well. extra.

Has anyone else had the issue where your cursor disappears and does anyone know how to fix it? It always seems to happen when I go to see the Lawyer and I get stuck there and can't do anything.

There are various kinds of people on here but a very vocal group hates any engine that involves any sort of gameplay.

RPGM, Unity etc... if it involves more than clicking to move to sex scene then some people will rage against it some will even demand an engine change even if it's not possible. I've seen people demand games like Legend of Queen Opala, Roundscape Adorevia etc.. be changed from RPGM to Re'npy. Those are full on RPG's which means a move to Ren'py would literally be just a slide show with no context or substance.

There are also a lot of people on here that aren't gamers.

The reason RPGM gets hate is because people get lost on the maps and don't know how to progress because they have never played an actual game before so exploration confuses them. Not saying that to be a bitch, that's the complaints I see. Unity tends to be the same, games made on that tend to either be full movement or at least sandbox VN that involves using a map to navigate.

Again, not saying this to be bitchy but there are people that demand walkthroughs for games that have 2 kinds of options the obvious good one and the obvious bad one. I've seen people complain about dating sims because they couldn't get the girl they wanted when the only thing they had to do was not be a dick to her.

Long story short, do what you want to do. You will find a player base but you will never please everyone.
For many people, including myself, the game is flat out broken. hud's not showing up, getting stuck in animations, clicking not working, etc. These errors simply do not occur in renpy.

Bullshit is being called.

Ren'py has just as many issues as every other engine when the person coding makes mistakes. Shall we go through every single Ren'py game with people complaining about errors, bugs and various other problems?

No because we'd be here all day.
I really haven't run into any issues like this in any renpy games. the problem with this scenario is that these bugs seem to come out of nowhere, hitting people in different spots where it worked fine for others. Yes you can make errors in renpy coding, but as long as you do your due diligence in testing, the bug should come up the same way, every time, for everyone. Unity is just less stable of a platform.

Think one of the more fun parts of Renpy is that you have to enter the stats from last episodes by hand as programmer evey time for new episode if remember some complaints some devs made before correctly. Coders and devs are better for this dicussion as me though, since my coding skills are non existent. :p

Bullshit again! It is not Unity! Are you telling me you can't play Man of the House?

Just because noobs use Unity for their games with pre-build engines from Unity Store, e.g. Adventure Creator, Fungus, etc., it doesn't mean, that Unity is "unstable"!

Unity requires a good engine and a coder with coding skills. Not a 08/15 hobby script kiddie!

cold_arctus is absolutely right. Unity is one of the best free engines out there. I've played unity games that literally ran on less than 150mb of ram and my cpu was idling. Never crashed, either. Saves are easy to find and you can edit them yourself. Unity's had the look of an old school vn all way up to full 3d. You should at least know something about C# if you're gonna make a game in Unity. You can use the tutorials and ask for help in the forums but you have to have someone with programming experience test and tweak the build before you send it out.

I don't really enjoy quarreling about things I can't change so I'll leave it with this. There are definitely great bug-less games built on Unity, that I will not deny. What you say about the platform being more difficult to use makes sense, but if that is truly the case, it seems that far too many developers are picking it and getting in over their heads. If a well-established team like Lewdlab can't even figure it out, then only a very small percentage of creators have any reason to be touching Unity in the first place.

Guys maybe a dumb question but where are the save games located in my pc?
On Windows it's

C:\Users\[your username]\AppData\LocalLow\Lewdlab\Midnight Paradise

Before I try this game, is it grindy?
Not really. You'll need a couple repetitions for the massage levels with mom/sis and the tutoring needs to be repeated, but it's nothing compared to Big Brother.

The women are sexy and the story seems interesting. Having a protag that doesn't look like a kid is awesome.

Gotta question though. I read comments about drugging and feelin up women when they're sleeping. Is it optional? No offense, but that's creepy af.
