Are you overwriting v0.5.1 with v0.8.0? If so, that will cause all kinds of problems. It needs to be extracted to its own folder. Never overwrite earlier versions. Move your saves from the last version you played the game in to the new version, then delete the old version.
Just D:\Midnight Sin v0.8.0 is sufficient enough.
The first thing I see is that you have it buried a few folders deep (and wrong version), I would suggest extracting the game from the archive to a new folder and try that.

Two things here, first, don't double up the folders like that, and second, it sounds like you might not have had a successful download then. My next suggestion would be to redownload it, and I would recommend using a downloader, such as Jdownloader2, so that it can verify your files when you are done.
Skipping time/day before the event can caused that problem.
