VN - Ren'Py - MILF Obsession [v0.2.2] [DanGames]

Decent game to kill a couple of hours.
More or less kinetic, you can mostly choose who to interact with, but that's about it.
Visuals are mostly OK with the exception of AHEGAO animations.
I was pretty sure the MILF lied about her age and she was having a heart stroke, I don't know what else could explain half of her face becoming paralyzed.
Don't expect a deep story or coherent characters writing.
MC establishes with Karmen (who is also KarmeM half of the time) that he is the boss from now on, but it doesn't stop him making a 180 turn the next morning.
Overall not the worst slides clicker, just pretty bad as a game.

It's okay, not fantastic but not the worst either. I think the models are pretty good. But the biggest flaw is that none of the choices affect the way the story plays out. At that point. Why even give choices? Why am I grabbing coffee cups and clicking on a machine? It doesn't do anything.

I have to say, the update was just bad for me. Why so much content with the lesbian policewoman? The only thing we get from her is her fucking MC´s women, and I don't want that. I don't want anything to do with her. On top of that, we're forced to mess around with that disgusting prostitute. Dude, in her first scene, she has sex with a construction worker in a porta-potty. There's no sink anywhere for her to wash herself. It's extremely disgusting. And then we don't even have the option to reject her. We're forced to mess around with her. WTF? What's wrong with the developer? Wasn't there a better way to meet her than in a porta-potty? Not everyone's into shit. Plus, she's extremely ugly.
The game is a KN you don't have the option to reject any of the women. Furthermore, I don't feel any connection to the MC for example, the neighbor's daughter. I find her ugly and want nothing to do with her, but the MC thinks, "Oh, she's like a supermodel," and he wants to sleep with her. And I, as the player, am just thinking, "No, no, please no!"
I'd also like to know what direction the game is going in. Should it be a harem or a sharing game? With the lesbian police officer and the prostitute, I think it's more towards sharing than harem. And dev, give us as players the final decision about what we want and don't force your fetishes on us ;-) Even though I'm writing so much negativity, I don't think the game is completely bad. So far, I like 3 (or 4) women: Carmen, the two MILF neighbors, and the blonde MILF at the beginning. I don't know if she'll appear again.I also like the story with the four women I like.

this game have a lot of updates with a lot of scenes. the author does updates like the guilty pleasure, but with MUCH MORE scenes. impressive. Can do better on writing, but the story is good. The author also is known to make a lot of rpgm short games, so is very nice hes changing to renpy and doing a very nice game.

What immediately jumped out was the execution. It feels like a much more refined and better-handled take on the MILF genre than a lot of other visual novels out there. It avoids some of the usual pitfalls, and the foundation they’ve built here is really strong. On a visual level, the models are absolutely fantastic; they are clearly high-quality and add so much to the game's appeal.

Beyond the visuals, the storytelling is surprisingly compelling. The pacing for the story is good, and it flows in a way that keeps you invested and wanting to click the next. It’s easy to get the narrative, which is the mark of good writing.

Now, for a couple of suggestions that would really push this to a perfect score. As the character list grows, it would be a massive quality-of-life improvement if the game was more explicit in keeping track of the characters. I occasionally felt like I was losing tabs on who was who, which breaks the immersion. More importantly, a dedicated replay gallery would be great. Having to dig back through saves just to re-watch a favorite scene is tedious. Adding a gallery would seriously boost the replay value and let players appreciate the hard work that went into the key moments.

Overall, it’s a promising and high-quality VN. Highly recommended!

Played v0.2. Pretty decent VN all things considered.

[PROS]

1. Amazing renders. If you're into MILFs this is your VN. They look great and even better disrobed
2. Decent story. Nothing too outlandish is going on and the premise is a bit interesting

[CONS]

1. Game is super linear. Dialogue is usually done in a checklist format where you have to pick every option. You can get bonus scenes and shots sometimes by picking the "correct" option but they don't give a lot of content

That's pretty much it. The game is decent. I'd rather give is a 3.5 but it doesn't have the option. The game would really benefit from a video enhancement mod too

Another one of "these" from me. I'm only 5 minutes in, but I have to grind my axe on 75% of ALL the dialogue, so far, happening INSIDE the MC's head. Additionally, it's compensating filler dialogue. Essentially like... "what else can I say here?" is the motivation for most of the lines. The MC comes off as not a 22-year-old, but a 13-year-old, however, I can say I recently did meet a 19-year-old that was like this, so the bar may just be A LOT lower now on maturity expectations. To some degree, it is just attempts at humor that don't land, for me. I seem to be the outlier on this, since many of the reviews describe this game as being "hilarious" and is well written. Each to their own. It feels very "forced" and "obviously trying too hard" writing.

Pros: Well rendered. Models, sets, lighting - it's pretty good.

The MC talks, at length, to himself when he's alone - not just in his head when there's someone around. The first night in bed was like an old "daily summary in bed" synopsis (Dating My Daughter and what's the other one from that time with the girl who was a musician... it's just her name as the title of the game), except the MC was holding a whole conversation with himself aloud.

Good writing and stories take you on a journey. You are along for the ride, experiencing things simultaneously with the characters. You are drawn in, almost like an active participant. This game just spews at you what they think you should be thinking or feeling. And since it's a translation, it suffers, so it may not just be a ham-handed writer, but the fact that you are inundated instantly with parentheses wrapped inner monologue by the truckload; amateur writing is definitely involved.

Easy example, the Mergers & Acquisitions MILF. When the MC awkwardly hits on her, her reaction dialogue is:
"I didn't think... I didn't realize. I didn't think you were... interested in me."
That is how the MC talks, not a 40-something woman who built her own Mergers and Acquisitions company. Not at all how she was speaking the previous night on the phone. Literally, his response reads like what SHE just said:
"I... I didn't mean to make you uncomfortable. It's just... You're incredible. And I'd regret it if I didn't ask."
Clearly, they LOVE ellipses. It's a habit that bleeding everywhere in the script. But the TONE bled through between these characters and shouldn't have. This is a lapse in character. Even if she lacks experience with men, young men, or situations like this. Mergers & Acquisitions is massively about negotiations and dealing with a lot of corporate executives and politics. If they are hostile acquisitions, it is exponentially more complex and challenging. She would eat this boy for breakfast in any scenario, but here she's stumbling over her words like the MC stumbles over EVERYTHING. Her chosen career requires that she sacrificed at least SOME of her femininity for masculinity to be able to swim with the sharks and not just survive, but THRIVE and make them her bitches. If she were interested in this boy at all, she would have a near constant subtle smile and her eyes would be surveying him like potential prey - not rumbling, bumbling, stumbling anything. She wouldn't ever reveal if she was caught off guard, it's a Tell and a weakness which she would have annihilated from her being at least a decade ago, if not 2. Remember her line from the night before, "If he was working for me, he would be out of a JOB come Monday." or something like that. Go for the eyes, BOO! She's an Alpha.

"It's just one line, what's the big deal??" I'm like 10 minutes into this, if this is all already happening now and this often - it's just the scratched surface at this point. And unless I finish the game and forget, I'll update this review to eat crow and take responsibility for being an idiot.

Like any art, if you don't know the thing you're illustrating (with words or daubs of paint, whatever) you have to research and learn about it so you can try to accurately represent it. The line above was simply slapped on a page by someone to get to "good enough". And her career was selected by throwing a dart at a wall of "successful women's careers" or something like that. I'm probably completely off base with this, but this is playing out like Anime Dubs for American audiences - localized for toddler-level intellects.

Game updated. More of the same. MC is responding in his head to the lines just said to him aloud by who he's talking to. *Sometimes* these are treated like they were actually spoken, so which is the error? Who knows.

If you enjoy media written and acted out like the GPS in your car is the author and actors, then THIS is your game.

As ever, I appreciate the ongoing effort. The renders ARE well done. The work required to produce this is sizable. I am aware of the time investment required for DAZ renders and the usage and quirks of Ren'Py and Python. That is partially WHY I have such an issue with bad writing. So many people take all this time and effort to invest in all these other parts and give, what seems like, ZERO attention to writing. Hell, even if you started with using an AI to write and adjusted from there - I have to believe it would be better. I've used AI to write technical documents. It's a bitch to keep AI on track with continuity and accuracy, but if you can control that - they do well. Although this could all change, author's won a lawsuit against AI recently.

For example (of something just ignorant and stupid), the MC and Brianna (a hideous creature the dev gives you zero choice in interacting with) are looking for a phone that was tossed down an alley. They can't seem to find it, but the MC mentions that there's a bum that always hangs around the area selling things - they should ask him. So they do and, naturally, the bum wants to know what's in it for them. The MC replies with: "I'm not here to buy. Just trying to find something important that got lost." It's like gambling by showing ALL of your cards as your strategy. I'm sure the following statements will just be heavy-handed course corrections to reestablish the MC's Plot Armor or some illusion of choice BS. The Wiggles have more character depth.

Excellent well i really like those type of game (not vanilla ) since 1 years they dont make those type of games anymore with all the restriction rule censorship etc ... all the games are the same this one with few others are original if you like male domination blackmail (not in real life lol) then its for you. You will find a lot of game in those categories but with a female protagonist or a MC bein a victim dont defend himself bein blackmail or cuckload well in this game It's the opposite and its my kind of game i like it.

The Dev, DanGames, has tons of releases I haven’t checked out yet as a lot are censored. Milf Obsession doesn’t have the censored tag which is great and while new, the updates have been super fast.

Good:
1. Terrific job with the character looks and graphics. Most games have “milfs” but they look younger than the 20yr old MC… Here they seem to be aged appropriately enough here. Great work!
2. Fantastic job with the lighting and colors. They kept the palette uniform throughout so far.
3. The story isn’t the same old...father died, one sister cute and the other hateful..etc…
4. Some beautiful women.

Not So Good:
1. You are treated like crap by your boss in many ways including loyalty and trust but still chase her around w puppy dog eyes.
2. Forced love interests with some characters that the player may think are gross. Also forced sex with them. (I know...but if you don’t like them...then the sex can seem ugh..)
3. There is a slutty neighbor wife and if you turn her down, you get reminders over and over and over throughout Milf Obsession about maybe you should have been w her. (you can’t change your mind at this point.)
4. The MC is a douche, pushover, wimp, domineering, sexy and suave...sort of depends on the conversation he’s having...at any rate, those personality changes could be smoothed out a bit.
5. Kinetic game for the most part. Out of the few “choices” most only have 1 thing to click...very annoying.


It’s a new release. The Dev, so far, has pushed updates out very quickly and seems to be doing a good job. There are a couple of things to be annoyed by a little bit however it's certainly enjoyable enough to try especially if the kinetic part doesn’t bother you.

The game was good. I generally prefer games with a lot of mature women. The mature women in the game are very attractive. The only thing I didn't like about the game was the sex scenes. There's no dialogue. The only things in the sex scenes are a speed control button and an end button, and they're over quickly. Everything else in the game is great, the mature women and the visuals are good, but the sex scenes themselves aren't that great.

Of course, everyone has their strengths and areas for improvement. However, I hope the developer considers hiring someone else to help create the sex scenes in the game. Otherwise, I think the current sex scenes are ruining the game.

If you love MILFs (which I do) you will like this game.

Premise of the game is that you are a coffee shop employee in your 20s and get to romance all the MILFs that live near you or that you work with.

This appears to be more like a kinetic novel at this point. Dialogue options have minor differences but usually lead to the same outcome and there don't seem to be major branches. You are able to reject some romances though (but I don't think all of them are reject-able).

Positives:
- the story is there, it's not that deep but it has funny moments and I found myself chuckling or laughing at certain points; pretty lighthearted overall
- great renders in my opinion, models look great (i am sucker for great looking renders and models, I think they are super hot)

Cons:
- animations are not that smooth, they are average i'd say, sometimes a little choppy
- some of the music and sound can get repetitive

The choices don't matter,everything is designed to play in exact order,(might as well make this a "Kinetic Novel".Why is there dialogue option to insert the dick multiple times in one penetration scene?Why spoil that there's a secret scene as soon as you choose the option?Game presents an "accept or to refuse" an invite,buy refusing doesn't do anything.Female characters look like they are from uncanny valley.Carmen acts like a teenager in one scene and like an actual adult in the next.Margot's face is very unproportional/Font is ugly(too fat).

I admit I started the game with low expectations, expecting another toy-boy no-story game with oversized milfs.

But it impressed me. Most of all the writing, perhaps the best I’ve seen in the genre. The witty and insecure MC is likeable and even his internal monologues – typically the most boring parts – are excellent.

Animations are average and the models not really my taste but overall I enjoyed the game a lot.

The story is simple, I mean there is no real grand story behind it, no real narrative drive, but it is decent enough and realistic enough to make it believable.

You are pretty much a loser that lives alone in a rented apartment and can sustain himself on a barista paycheck... right... anyway you realize that no woman your age is interested in you so by accident you realize that mature women like to jump your bone so you start a hagmaxxing adventure.

Look I really like the latina booty in that bunny outfit so my initial 3 stars got a boost to 4 stars

okay so there is no real plot, the art is not the best and the writing at times is like mental flossing with sand paper with the humour falling flatter than my last attempt at telling jokes about my wife at a women's lib meeting, BUT....

..it does flow well with decent pacing and that alone can make a huge difference. when you have spent umpteen hours reading a decent japanese avN you may want to offset with an AVn that this site has an abundance of. thankfully this one does not pack way too many adult scenes with minor bouts of text, it has, for me at least, just the right blend to build some anticipation before the payoff. few do that for me here so kudos for pacing dev

as an added bonus there is no sandbox or point and click crap. no hidden images bs either, just the AVn

Probably one of the most hilarious AVNs I've ever played. Every LI is funny without being forced, and the renders of every MILF are just top-notch. The MC is funny, mischievous, but with a good heart -- the perfect combination in a MILF-based game. The story, while mostly mundane interactions between MC and LIs, slowly develops into a mysterious and engaging experience. Can't wait to see more of it!

Well written, nice setup/story, gorgeous models, enough choices to get some good surprises, (such as bonus scenes), and - so far - regular updates.
If MILFs are your kink, you came to the right place.

MILF Obsession is a well crafted -albeit simple story about a boy and his daily struggles. Meaning, there's nothing too deep, and that's alright, sometimes you just want something lighter, perhaps more believable.

Yes, the game has (some) porn logic, meaning, all the girls around him are beautiful and at some point end up interested in him -but the game has to work somehow am I right. But that doesn't mean they are less interesting. Each as a strong personality with their mannerisms, they can be shy, conflicted, there's moments of teasing, and build up, models are not generic but rather well expressed, and there's plenty of scenes to populate the gaps.

The only nitpick is having to (sometimes) click in with the mouse in the middle of a hot scene...

Story is pretty nonexistent. It is more about our average Joe MC getting to know these MILFs, fixing their problems and getting some pussy for reward.

Writing is surprisingly good, when comparing to the story. Women have fun personalities and relationships build with nice pace. Every woman have their own unique problems and that makes things interesting their own way. Sadly there is no meaningful conversation options, but the quality of writing is good enough to keep interest up.

Visually game is superb. Lots of nice flirting and teasing. Even if the story is boring or writing is not so interesting at some points, there is always nice pictures to keep fun meter high.
