VN - Ren'Py - Milfania [Ep. 6] [Dr.Phoenix]

The pros: The models are good looking. I know, opinions are subjective, so you will have to see for yourself. I'm SO happy that the mother looks like...well...a mother. She has just enough wrinkles that lets you know that she's seen some shit and pushed past it.

The name and premise drew me in. I didn't give two shits about the rating of the game due to them. Bit me in the ass this time.

The cons: The writing is great if the character is 8 years old or younger. Adults sound like simpletons in an institution designed for the brain damaged. Lenny from "Of Mice and Men" comes to mind. If the dev is passionate about writing, they need to get an education, read more books, or a combination of the two.

Visuals are ALL over the place. I remember seeing a scene where the quality was quite a bit above par, and in the next scene it looked like old, used dishwater. Animations are either smooth as silk or as jerky as my right hand.

Single item choice lists? WTF? Is this just to check to see if the player has not fallen asleep at the keyboard holding the CTRL key? If that isn't the objective, then that design choice is idiotic and serves no function. Think about what it's like to play your game before making choices. Hell, play-test your game. It may be the most boring part of the development process, but bad things will stand out to you!


Real talk incoming. I don't like shitting on someone's passions and hard work. I know how hard it is to code things well and squash bugs. I figured out that coding isn't for me. I can do it if I have to, but proficiency and desire are not there for me. I think that this post should guide you into introspection and give you the opportunity to ask yourself "Am I happy doing this?" If it is anything less than a resounding YES, please find something that makes you happy! This game leaves me SO frustrated with almost everything about it that I'm incapable of cushioning the blows of my critique. Please dev, don't take offense to this, I'm trying to be truthful so you can grow as a dev and a storyteller if you choose to push forward with this hobby/career choice. I just don't have it in me to pull any punches because this is bad enough that a reality check is needed.

Just absolute generic dogshit of a game with no cohesion of events, no pacing , shitty generic writing, with even shittier plot , the whole thing revolves around who you are gonna molest in their sleep especially in episode 6
The only saving grace are the beautiful LI models and that's it

• Quality of image renders and animations are very good.
• Sound is OK.
• Models and dresses are pretty good.
• Some simple guide of colored options (Red & Green).

Cons

1. Too short / less content.
2. Single option that player needs to select (click)??
3. Most of the scenarios are missing professionalism, for example:
   • MC and his girlfriend Valerie nude initiating sex but having caught by Valeri’s mom Jenna, Valerie moves away to dress up while MC sitting nude besides Jenna and telling embarrassed!! is weird. His first reaction must be to dress up & cover but the nude MC sit down and discuss with his girlfriend’s mom comfortably and requesting courteously permission with Jenna to dress up himself.
   • Followed by some conversation never greet MC for his birthday.
   • Valerie not attending her boyfriend’s birthday party but joining him for the night intimacy is weird.
4. Lagging / Delay of scene image change over, throughout the game.
5. Poor grammar and few spell errors.
6. Bug: MC Sneak peek his mom in bath tub; given option to Go further (Red color menu) or another option Call Mother (Green colored menu); but the option Go further doesn’t work / unable to pick.

a game should have sexy scenes, this game has none. very disappoining. also writing is bad even for a non-english native speaker. please revaluate the entire project or get some help from other people.

The figures are pretty supermodels and their clothes and poses are definitely nice, but the story and dialogues are pretty awkward and often even unbelievable/ridiculous/farfetched. Developer might benefit from hiring a writer (or "borrow" something from literotica) and focus on renders instead.

Another of these games, where every woman instantly falls for the MC just and only because of the immense size of his dck (and if not instantly, they fall for the looks first and dck second..). *yawn*

The render/image quality is "mediocre" at best (the models and props are barely detailed), the writing is completely redundant/ boring and the "choices" in the game a stpd like "Open the door" (only choice). "Wipe off her tears." (only choice). "Look at her butt." (Only choice), hence they feel redundant, too.

After skipping thousands lines of text, I finally got to my first animated scene, which was horribly animated: A stiff and easily recognisable series of pictures, which could hardly called "animation" at all.
I stopped playing right after that scene, because this was the last thing, which could have made me continue playing.

Overview
This game looks great. The LIs are all beautiful. Not the best renders I've ever seen, but they are good. But that's where the good stops. The story has the emotional depth of a brick. There are interesting concepts but absolutely terrible execution. What's sad is that a bit of copy editing would go a long way with this one.

Beyond that though, the decisions in the game are a bit boggling. The MC starts off fully down and wanting incest despite having a knockout girlfriend already. One baffling scene has the MC leave his bed where he JUST had sex with his girlfriend to sexually assault his mother's feet for no apparent reason.

Also, it's one of those games where every female constantly raves about how manly the MC is and every female that sees him immediately wants him. I get that it is the standard male power fantasy, but it's so over the top that it's annoying.

I really enjoy the game so far. Most of the characters are likable. The overall quality of the game is quite good, but the dialogs could be better. The story is simple but interesting enough to keep players engaged. Keep up the great work!

This one fails more than it succeeds in my opinion. The first main bad point is the story, right from the beginning it failed to create any interest, tension or anything. Right from the get go. There are no real choices outside what scenes you want to see either and the amount of content is small for 3 episodes worth.

Render quality is decent as are character models, but not anything incredible. And animations are a bit on the weak side, but not terrible either. I turned off the music so can't judge it, and outside of it it just has a few sound effects which more or less work.

So, it's not a terrible game, it's just is not a good one.

It might be a pretty good effort for a first release but since it's been out for just under a year and a half without much improvement, it's probaby just a game to pass on.

The images are fine. Some have transition issues such as their face to the forehead and up. There are shading differences as well as what look like lines from cutting/pasting textures....or something like that.

Admittedly I didn't get too far into things, but there isn't much of a story and characters switch moods instantly seemingly with no memory of what happened a minute ago.

It's also not much fun reading something with strange phrasing, sentences that don't make sense, as well as being made up of simple sentences that don't really go together.
I mean, kuddos to someone writing a story in a foreign language, but after over a year and all the resources available here, it should be much better.

Hopefully the Dev will use some of those free/paid resources here and improve the game. Till then....pass.

I would easily give it 4 stars, except you've got this cock-blocker named Bruce that walks in and starts bogarting all of the scenes. Why on Earth would you put that guy in when you've got a harem that just came over to wish you a happy birthday? SMH. I don't get it, you had the best set up.. and then Bruce walks in.. why why why?

Graphics and dialogue are great. The mother here is so attractive. I hope for more content. I hope for animations to be the same quality. I hope for more positions. This remaster is headed into the right direction

The girls are cute and all, but most of the dialogue doesn't need to be here, and makes the game feel 3 times longer than it actually was.

I'd recommend cutting out most of the dialogue, and trying to get more to the point, because this was a total slog.

The game has potential, but it seems like there won't be any compelling story, and just sex with the typical characters archetypes found in other visual novels, but with better renders than the average game in here.

The biggest problem is that right now reading it is really hard and breaks the immersion. I would recommend working on the dialogues to make the experience more enjoyable.

I like games where there is sexual content at the start. Sometimes it takes ages before some sexual content is starting. The renders are very good the characters are amazing. The story looks promising but the dialogues could be a bit better. Overall i cant wait for the next update this is certainly a game i will be playing more in the future!

So, my first review for a game. It's a pretty swell game actually! But I'm gonna try to keep this review short and sweet. Keep in mind, I'm reviewing the demo, and things may change later on.

The Renders and The Girls

So, in terms of images, this game is actually decent. The girls look amazing and the renders are quite fantastic. However, sometimes I feel as if it can be a bit lacking in terms of some scenes, and some poses feel a bit stiff. Personally, I'm not a big fan of Ayuko's hair, and when she first came through the door with those sunglasses, I thought she was some crazy ass bitch. I really like how Amelia, Amanda, and Nicole look, but not a big fan on how Ayuko and Kendra looks.

The Writing and The English

Okay, this is what I have an issue with. This game needs like, MAJOR proofreading. It took me so long to release a patch for it to fix the English. The English.. is pretty bad. Hopefully, however, Dr. Phoenix makes an update which adds more content, and fixes the bad English. The writing.. is not great either. It feels a bit dull sometimes and fairly lacking. I did like the part on where MC was making up that dream, though. I'm not sure why the game was ended on a cliffhanger, as the cliffhanger did not feel that exciting and suspenseful. If you are making a cliffhanger, make it good.

The Programming and The Coding

Okay, the programming is BAD on this one. And I'm saying this because I have experience in Ren'Py. I mean, holy fucking shitty cow. This game was pretty messy. First, labels in labels? The labels won't even work? Undefined labels without any code blocks what-so-ever? So many damn spaces! Labels with practically the same name? Sounds that are looping? Choices that don't even work? Okay, this was bad. Real bad.

Overall

The writing is dull, the coding is bad, the English is awful, but the girls and renders are nice. It has a good start, but it will take a lot of updates for this game to actually become good.

Every single one of the ladies in this rightly self-proclaimed demo is absolutely drop-dead gorgeous, especially, for me, Amanda the very first lady we encounter and indeed, the star throughout this part, at least, of the show. Unfortunately, early on, there's a fair amount of circuitous waffle... most certainly at least in the bedroom at the start, which does, of course, serve to and succeed in showing off the girls in all their shapeliness and splendour.

So, the rendering is top drawer, but the story really needs a lot of work (or perhaps just unfolding) and, unless I am greatly mistaken, must be seriously moulded into some interesting shape and form if this is to become a sustained and credible undertaking.

Nevertheless, for the current demo state it is in, it is certainly extremely presentable and a pleasure to experience. Hence the 4 star rating of this experience.

My hope is that this creator's sparkling rendering skills can be allied to a really fun storyline which will serve to provide everyone with a memorably steamy adventure deep in the hearts of Milfania.

Firstly I would say that, for me, the best critic here on f95, this looks promising but short. I see, that dev, really wanted to make this first update to be looking good. I can also ensure you that graphics are fine, but I would spend more time on the story. as this is a visual novel, and there has to be a good story after all
