VN - Ren'Py - Mind Control: Twisted thoughts [v0.243c] [specialmind]

Executive summary
Exploitaton of the NPCs is creepy, but the somewhat normal looking people and the story really make this VN one of the better ones out there.

Here is a more elaborate review. Although there are many mehs and bads, the good by far outway them.

The good

1. This is one of the very few VNs where I actually read all of the text, and am interested in the story!
   1. There is a great balance between the amount of text and the amount of sex scenes.
   2. There is very little useless filler text.
   3. Most VNs play in a magical world where all men are... missing? In this VN there are many people we can either help or hurt, including guys.
   4. There is a good variety of characters with archetypes, but who are (mostly) not caricatures.
2. The models mostly look like normal people. Almost all VNs have these fake/plastic barbie doll models with huge breasts. I really hope more developers use 'regular' people because it is much more interesting.

The meh

1. During the sex scenes, the animations are basically 2 pictures where you mostly go back and forth.
2. Although there are also male NPC (good), they are mostly really really weak compared to the MC.

The bad

1. Primarily at the beginning, the mind control is downright rape and abuse. I tried every option (with rollback) to see what is happening, but making the 'nice guy / right' choice often just means skipping the sex scene. That is a shame. I would really have liked it if playing a good guy would be a real path instead.
2. During sex scenes, you constantly have to press the spacebar to continue, almost like a minigame. I would have much preferred the 'animation' to infinitely repeat and we only needed to press the spacebar once to continue to the next position.
3. There is something really wrong with the model of Emilie's face. It's like part of her skull is clipping through the skin or so. I really wish the developer would fix that, because she looks like something from a horror movie.
4. Marc's model also looks off.

Translations are a bit rough, as are the "animations". It had a fun premise to start, and I really like the realistic body-types on display, but this game is really only for you if you're the type for sharing, group sex, swinging, ect.
I am...not.

Aww, it seemed such a transgressive gem -- MC discovering his juicy sex relationships among his peers -- bu then it became a whack-a-mole orgy wherein everyone was IN! Which, to me, meant, everyone was anyone and anybody goes, and blah blah... too bad. I am done with this promising AVN. Too bad.

Awesome Game. Definitely now one of my favourites! I love that there is a variation in body types between the girls. I'm hoping that more girls are introduced in the future, along with hopefully a few of the mums.

I like it overall. I do have some issues with it though, which could be summarized in three parts:

• Like many other games, this seems to head into the direction of focusing on side content at the detriment of the 'main plot'. Like, did we really need a second sex party?
• While there are plenty of choices, many are also forced on you, and some really shouldn't be forced.
• For people mostly sexless one week ago, all those people are way too sex crazy, even when taking into account those under partial mind control.

Oh, and I also find the way mind control is used to be pretty boring, but that's just my opinion.

The main plot is opening pretty slowly, but it is very intriguing. MC´s ability to mind control does give nice upper hand for him to get to the bottom of the main mystery. Both of these aspects work well for an AVN. Point system and conversation options are fun and don´t feel restrictive. But it is hard to tell if they only affect what kind of sex scenes you see on that specific episode or if there is also effects on longer run.

Writing is really good. Nice pace and all the conversations feel important and engaging. I like how every character have realistic personality and personal goals/stories. Best thing is how all this does mix so well together. No character is left behind and even one conversation can move multiple character stories at the same time. Everything flows so naturally and things keep happening, so it never feels like you are reading boring atmosphere building scene.

Overall visuals are ok and some girls have pretty faces, but i personally don´t find these low quality graphics bodies that entertaining. Don´t get me wrong, sexual content is really imaginative and fun to play. Realistic bodies could be alone ok, but lets be real, these are not visually stimulating women to look at. Overall good AVN, but sexual content is not worth wanking for. Mainly because the low quality bodies.

I'll keep it simple; this game does a great job of apply mind control powers, it has enough H-scheme to keep the flow going.

It has a unique story from a setting that has been done many times. Not explored all routes, it does seem that being the tirant mind controller is the best way to get the most scheme.

Models are good, as others have mentioned the realistic body types is a surprising novelty on this site.

Was dissapointed where it ended, which is a good thing, I'll come back to it in a year when it has more content.

it has mind control but not like other games where you have to use power on people to control them. This game perfectly balance the mind control and normal sex.
Interaction between MC and his sister as many mentioned is top ties you want that in any incest game and the fact than you can fuck sister without mind control is really good.
Renders are bit normal compared to new games coming out but good body proportions are all ask from those people and this game also has good body proportions i was truly most horny seeing elise and mia. I fucking love both of those girls.

Very impressive game, I'm excited to see more. TL;DR go try it out. Below my impressions in details:

Sex scenes, or rather sex episodes, are very meticulous and multidimensional. I've spent a good hour on some, checking different combinations of choices and prerequisites. Very interactive and.. fun? This doesn't mean that they are very hot though - angles are often weird or obscuring, or renders just not reflective of what's going on. For example, the main lesbian (your sister) doesn't have a single clear shot of her doing cunni, while your "main" gf has at least five. The latter is also supposed to be homophobic by the way.

Story is alright. You are basically thrown into the shoes of a guy who suddenly becomes able to read minds and then just rolls with it. There's some overarching plot in the making, but honestly it's not really exciting. It is there I guess to tickle your mystery. The actual strong point is characters, especially main girls and MC. They feel alive and thought through, dialogues feel natural and enjoyable to read. Now, another bone I have is with overall settings: All of those people are supposed to be virgins, highschoolers or whatever, they even attempt to sound (and think) insecure. But then you get some crazy borderline swinger parties that would make your uncle blush, and don't get me started on the last one. It is hot, but it is ridiculous that it happens.

Gameplay is really good for a VN. It's all in the choices of course, but there is a lot of them and they are always meaningful. I would love to see the monstrosity of this plot tree mapped.

Extra: bad. No music, no effects. Transitions are very bad - when a chapter ends you are immediately thrown into the next action. Sometimes you are shown a weekday or something but it is not trackable and confusing. All these things are flavour, but if were to be smoothed the overall experience would improve significally.

I wish some day there be game where i can chat with sister and develope relationships, just like friendly siblings, without sex or something hard thing, maybe some hugs and kisses, but no game i know suitable for these. But here are some good conversations in Mind control game with choises, i like it, but it not very many. Good 3d cg.

The animations/renders are not top-tier but solid.
Character models feel unique with realistic body proportions(which is truly refreshing compared to other games)

The story itself is avarage, but thanks to the decent characters, solid dialogue and the well implemented mind control/stats mechanics, its never gets boring.

Adult scenes are really good .

Overall, its a great experience. 5 star !

The story is very relevant to my fetishes interests. The characters are original. The gimmick (you can't use your power twice consecutively, you can't hear thoughts after using your persuasion) is really interesting.
There are a lot of choices instead a same scene. Save !

This is my favorite game of this genre, and it got me into Adult Gaming / Visual Novels. Every now and then I come back to this just to play through it again. Very few games actually pull off making your sister feel like your sister. Usually they over rely on saying "bro" and "sis" to remind you of that familial relationship. In this game, there is no need to remind you constantly of how you're related because the way they speak to one another FEELS like they're related.

I'm excited for the next update to see what this dev does with the story.

Updates have been consistently strong, not just padding. New scenes, transition improvements, better dialogue flow, UI tweaks like the opacity slider, all clearly shaped by player feedback. The amount of art for an ongoing project is impressive, and each patch actually makes the game feel more polished.

I normally stay away from games with "Mind Control", but I'm really happy to have decided to give this one a try, as it not just a typical mind control where every other character becomes a mindless doll.

Graphics 4/5: Real good, simple yet charming, I do think this is the weak aspect of the game, if a 4/5 can be called weak.
Story 5/5: The pacing is excellent, not rushed and not slow either. Every character feels like individuals, not just copy paste the same personality.
Gameplay 5/5: There are some RPG elements with main three stats , but even that is quite good, as the choices of which stat to level up feels impactful in the story.
Content 5/5: Has quite a good amount of content and most importantly, you can choose what scenes or paths you want to see/follow.

Final Result 5/5: Really excited about each new update.

Very good game, as others already said it's unique in a way that we can actually use our mind control powers. You can simply command some stranger to undress and they are doing it! Plot is nice, models are very good. There are many paths possible. In the current game state we are already able to decide if we want to control an use various girls. I hope that with next updates there would be an option to develop relations with girls that are unavailable right now and that it would be possible to do really crazy things with girls that are brain-washed.

I didn't have high expectations when I downloaded it. The theme tends to wear off pretty quickly. But the game absolutely won me over. Innovative and with a no-compromise approach. "I'll just do it!" was the vibe throughout the whole experience. Really, really nice. I hope it stays that way.

And there is one more thing that alone is worth 5 Stars: Natural breast sizes. More immersion and less Porn-Model-Neigborhood is exactly what I like.

It is a very good game, there needs to a game studio maybe not in America but somewhere in the world. Where they can hire the best coders and make full game in this nature. Killing or red rooms are okay but sex is not is lame.

This is an interesting VN, the main feature of which is a plethora of decisions that you will have to make. First - your stats, that will act as a condition for which scenarios you can trigger, but on top of that there is a butt-load of choices, the dev constantly bombards you with them. They all affect the dialogue flavor and how scenes will play out. Right now there is almost 2 hrs of content and no story branching. I think in it's current state it probably deserves a 4, but I didn't like how "plump" and dull Rosie is forced upon us, as I'm not a chubby chaser and she's simply boring. I also don't appreciate Emilie as a whole package and the fact that if you try to stave her off your sister, she will in turn hate you for it. We will see how that plays out in future updates and if I will adjust my rating.
