Unity - Abandoned - Mirror Hearts [v0.2] [EroSeason]

Review of 0.2. A bit short but the graphics are great. A good unity VN overall. The story is interesting so far, I am excited to see what happens next. The sex scenes in the game so far a fully animated and animated really well, which by itself is worth checking out.

Game is hot garbage. Protagonist is a sap who gets beat on every other scene. Its the same tired story of a nerd getting put up on. Dull repetitive & most of the characters are unlikable.

3 times the protagonist gets dropped minutes into the game, he has to be the single weakest protagonist I have seen in one of these games

hmmmm.. this is interesting

animations 9.5/10 - some of the best i've seen. i like the scenes are long, immersive and very well animated. isn't just a simple loop. i like that sometimes it feels kinda between CG/doll-like and more life like compared to a lot of more robotic animations in other games. definitely doesn't feel robotic at all.

story concept 8/10 - i like the story concept. i like the setting. the bit of magic realism/ the whole kai thing.

sex scene setup 4/10 -maybe this is more of a design choice but i kinda feel like a lot of the story doesn't contribute to the sex scenes. it very much feels like the story is almost like a serious drama and then there are sex scenes interjected inbetween.

designs 6/10 - they're okay i guess. i would personally rate actually lower because i really like especially blondes/blue eyes and really dark black girls and more chesty girls and this game so far has none of that. i would like to see the girls be more on the "babe" look or just super sexy/beautiful. they look a lot more like attractive-ish-to-average but it works. i think it's mostly because the animation is so good. i definitely think with better models/designs, the animation would really shine and the game would have something truly special.

overall, maybe as high as an 8/10 but it's really because the animations are really remarkable. the designs are disappointing. the story feels kinda in the way even tho i like the story concept/broad idea. the dialogue also feels kinda slow or arduous. i even like the faust/nietzsche german setting a lot. i will say as a random note. i think the characters are named well. it's a small detail but sometimes i feel like character names are commpletely off in games or dont add to the immersion of the setting. in this game i feel like the character names mostly fit and add to the immersion/setting.

my main critique is the models and sex content ratio to story. with such good animations, it just seems so worth it to do it with really amazingly hot babes. doesn't have to be significantly better quality models, just design choice change.

also, one thing that might be nice but is kinda an "icing" on the cake thing, if good fluid or "juicy" effects can be added, either to intercourse or ejaculation, i think if it's done well, that always adds a satisfying element to a sex fantasy game but i also know that it can be very tricky or rarely pulled off well. the game definitely doesn't need that if it means making it worse. the model designs i think is more significant and will make a bigger difference above anything else currently.

Excellent for a release. Good story (it actually makes since), characters look really good, animation is great. Hopefully releases will be timely and consistent. Apparently I need 200 characters.....................................

Definitely had the best animations and models on the sure so far. But it takes a long time for you to update, have quicker updates and more fetishes, you can probably add some bukkake, watersports etc. And set yourself apart from all the other games. Tone down on the magic part of of it. If this game receives more updates and more fetishes, and you have my money.

I love the classic RPG point-and-click intertwined with the 3dcg game. Also, the sex scene in EP 1 is something else! On par with the best on this site. The info dump right after felt too much though, imo. I believe in exposition being organic and timely and the "show, don't tell" rule, but I also understand the dev team wanted to establish the universe early on.
All and all, I'm very excited and expect great things from this game!

Great start so far! The animations are a breath of fresh air from the other games I played, there's alot of energy and motion with them unlike the single animation loop prevalent in other games. Definitely worth a try and I can't wait to see more.

I think this is quite a good start to a lot of potential goof gaming experience. The Graphix, Language, Story are Great. The Story seems to be an adoption of Sekirei or likewise Manga.

Overall, I'd say it was quite a piece of brilliant work and I would really want this to go full steam ahead and recommend any and all supporters to help this guy out.

The "Landlady" seems to be an old model of DOD or WTHI. Would really have given the extra star for new model and a bit more realistic models. I know Huge Boobs and Huge Tits are a go getter but you should look into games like "Halfway House" or "Gate's motel" for inspiration into smaller and realistic bodies. Those are the real go getters when you are so good with animation.

I'd recommend to try it.

ep1 is a lot of set up and a lot of dialogue, with one big sex scene enar the end, which isn't the best but is okay.
Good renders and a lot of potential for a good story, lots of sex scenes and lots of choices of if you want to be a good or bad person.
Hope this continues as I'm interested in what's planned for the game, how the story will go and how far you can push being a bad person
