To balance out the other reviews a bit, let me first start by stating that the lack of visuals was a set of bugs the game had at the get go.
Otaku Plan royally fucked up the initial release from what I can read and many people probably hit the game's score because of that. Though those were issues with the TL, not the game.
Anyway ... as for the game then. It's honestly not a bad GAME (but it's not going to win over RPGM haters either). It is however not an effective (thus good) EROGE.
Let me elaborate on that. We have several 'scenes' and CG for each main character (about 5 to 7) and also many of the side characters. As such, the CG count is average as far as RPGM releases go.
Artwork is what attracted me to the game in the first place and thus, I'd say it's pretty competent in its visuals. Those looking for animation though ... you won't find any of that here. It's all static imagery.
However, it took me like 37 hours to finish this game (completionist run, including EX dungeon/bosses/arena).
That means the scenes are a mostly rare occurence across the game's runtime. You can pretty much delay getting most scenes to whenever you want to bother triggering them as well. So you could hold off and group the unlocks together, but overall you'll be spending most of your time doing RPGM combat.
That leads me to the gameplay implementation.
Overall, it's a competent implementation of an RPGM turn based combat system. I had some gripes with it here and there, but overall it's a fairly decent implementation.
You have a skill tree to unlock stuff, which you can re-spec any time you feel like.
Many items & gear can be crafted. The crafting system is nothing complex, but it serves its purpose well. It's implemented by giving each equipment type its own 'map' where you can select stuff from various ranks + an EX item for each rank for which you need to meet certain conditions.
The enemies you face are somewhat competent at making you care about what you've got equipped too, so you'll at least want to get more/better gear and levels.
On the downside, as I alluded to earlier with my completion time ... it's a grindfest.
Crafting requires materials and materials are to be mined and/or dropped by enemies. As such, getting these materials becomes quite the grind of mining, then sleeping, then re-running those dungeons. Rinse, repeat.
In the post-game farming that stuff becomes much easier (in the EX dungeon), but before that ... yeah, it gets tedious.
Few things to add ...
The early game, when you just get hit with the 'horny' mechanic is kinda annoying at first. Sleeping makes you hornier, but you need to sleep to regenerate the mining spots AND to eat food, which gives perma-stat boosts. While at the same time, the primary focus of the character (e.g. the crafting/blacksmithing) is locked when your horniness reaches 50%.
At first you probably want to avoid sleeping too much, but later on it's a moot point as you can freely repeat several scenes to reduce your horniness.
The cost of the 'expensive' potions to lower the stat also becomes chump change, but I never needed them.
In summary, it's a decent enough RPGM game with a competent combat implementation.
The game offers solid visuals and visual style, but not nearly enough to warrant its lengthy campaign. Though much of the campaign's runtime is spent on the grind for materials and levels, which in all honesty I would've preferred was less prevalent.
