I like using CGTrader to buy them. There's quite a few good ones for reasonable prices.
That said, it's also a good idea to learn Blender and other 3D modelling programs at least a bit so you can modify, rig and animate. Character modelling is really hard. Doing it all yourself is super hard, but knowing a little can go a long way and the rest you can get with cash.
