Edit: Also, as I was recently reminded, those are venom sacs so be careful all you would-be adventurers. It pays to know certain anatomies of your possible teammates. ;]

Venom usually means that it's only dangerous if it's injected into your bloodstream, poison means it's dangerous if ingested
