there is a rootkit somewhere in the game my virus detection was triggered downloading the game.

That's what I thought.
People put way too much trust in virus scans without realizing that, definitionally, they ain't perfect. If a Virus scan could accurately detect viruses 100% of the time they'd just come standard on all machines and there'd be no business.

after the first 2 days I figured you were guaranteed clients who actually pay then day 3 comes around and after upgrading the brothel I get no paying clients all day and game over to the main screen losing all progress. The fuck man.
I'm curious about if we have any control over the genders of clients/workers, if we can exclude seeing content of any kind and if there are plans for futa characters to be added. I do enjoy games like this and would very much like to see player freedom in what we see, since I personally would rather avoid anything with male characters in general.
Good concept, mostly good exectution of existing content which there is far too little of at current (WIP), hard start / learning curve (basically had to use cheatengine to get past the first few days and get rolling).
issues:
hard to click correct character. sometimes loose a character by clicking wrong one or loose rep by clicking wrong one.
few scenes for each "employee"
few upgrades and same upgrade offer comes ad nausium.
repetative content with one extra click per interaction (just not needed)
summary: dev needs to working. they're on the right track. just needs more devlabour (and a bit of ballancing early). I will watch with interest.

I'm the developer and just wanted to drop in and say hi, and answer some questions, and drop some comments of my own.

So I'm not sure if this is meant sarcastic or not, but I loved Aurelia. We're not here to replace or step on any other games tho, and I saw they were active again like a month ago, and happy to see patches there as well.

There's def gay content,I'm working on an animation about dude fucking another dude in the butt and I get gay vibes from it, there's also lesbian stuff and we have futa in the works.

So in the beginning it mostly was, yes. It was a short gamejam, AI was allowed, I needed some filler as a proof of content. We have since started to change our art pipeline, and I now have a pixel artist doing the overworld stuff, a pixel artist/animator doing sex scenes, and I try to chip in myself as best I can. In leu of AI reference pictures, we started experimenting more with 3D tools like DAZ that we then draw "on top off" because f'me anatomy is tricky. The current version is around 50% stuff left based on AI generated stuff, and we hope to get it if not zero then as low as possible before launch.

I covered my response to this in the Itch.io comments as well. I know it isn't, and we don't even compile locally, we have a sterile 3rd party service doing it for us. Some virus detectors still ping it, what can I say...

NOW, all that out of the way, I see most of you are commenting on the version 0.1.8, and that makes sense because that's the one being shared. BUT I hope if you find this game interesting, you hop on Itch and try the Latest Version. We have done our best to make a whole lot of improvements lately, with of course more to come, and when we compile we always push out to Itch the same time we push out to Steam.
0.1.8 was a version like riight, i think either before or after the game deadline, and the code was very spaghetti. It's still quite spaghetti, but at least we polished it up a lot since, now that we dont have a literal ticking clock.
IF there's some way that I can autoupdate this download link, that would be nice, but my advice is go to itch > download the latest. You don't have to pay, and if you ask me on Discord I will throw a steam key your way (steam much better at juggling updates than Itch imo.)
All in all, I appreciate all your comments, and there's definitely many things we need to work on still.

It does come standard in every (Windows) Machine, Defender is an anti-virus that every Microsoft machine has built in and active by default. Plus Microsoft is working on making motherboards with a dedicated processor specifically for security systems so all those 3rd party anti-viruses stop slowing down your machine. The reason it's still a business at all is because a lot of them are basically scams that persisted because of tech illiteracy and the bad perception Defender got back when it wasn't as good 2 decades ago. Nowadays Norton and McAfee aren't even sold as anti-virus programs anymore, they're largely just VPN and backup managers with bits of "firewall protection" tossed in for marketing.
Now, Defender isn't 100% effective by itself of course. But it's average efficiency, tested by 3rd parties like AV Comparison and SE Labs, is on average from month to month is pretty much 99% (it was 98.6% effective last month for reference). The problem with Defender specifically is that it's a cloud backed anti-virus and it's efficiency rapidly dropped to around 80% with the same test files when not connected to the internet, which is why some security programs survived marketing off of adding offline protection for people that travel or live in rural areas without good internet. The key difference is that Defender largely doesn't get false positives in every test, while ones like F-Secure and Malwarebytes routinely get 5 to 6 times as many of them compared to how many are required to score a "bad grade" in that category.
Why tism out and mention all this in a porn forum thread? Because I genuinely don't think the dev added actual malware to the game. A lot of the popular Anti-Virus softwares besides Defender routinely flag Gleap packages as Trojans, except Avast, AVG, and Norton which flags them as just Malware. If anything, some of the people reporting Malware while others report a Trojan while Defender and other people report nothing just sounds like the Devs used Gleap to hook together Discord and GitHub together for bug reporting and feedback. I think the game looks interesting, though honestly I don't see it ticking all of my kink checkmarks for this style of game, but the people whining about security without actually understanding it just got to me.

Gay, yes. Lesbian, no. Currently there are almost exclusively male patrons and many of the options for the personnel are locked to "patron has penis" (with some characters being essentially exclusively leaning that way). So while you can skip the women and pretty much do fine, it would pretty much be impossible to skip out on the men.
That said, the game is set up so that if lesbian options were expanded it would be possible to play it lesbian. It's just that in its current state you really just cannot accomplish anything more than faceplanting after your starting money runs out.
