ngl, i tried play both style of sandbox and usual VN

you not missing out much when playing VN as of v0.7 patch

and playing VN mode will make a lot of sense chronologically in some event like Elissa's first time in toilet while Lyra catch them in the act
while in sandbox I released Maya and met with Lyra before interacting with Elissa

mostly you will miss out some classes interact small info

in sandbox mode, you can only have six sense perks = during date with fuyu she wont accidentally touch you
in vn mode, she will accidentally touch you and said it weird you not instantly freeze

All powers are now available for the MC in VN and Sandbox in version 0.7 if you unlocked the resistance power in both you would have had the same scenes. Looking at the game files the only time this will happen is if the MC does not have the resistance power at the time of the date. Also it looks like having the powers and for her to touch you and hold your hand gives you more love points with her.

So i had a problem that i could not start the MMC quest with Nox. I couldn't trigger a dialog with her in the park. I did some digging in the script and it turns out i progressed with Val to fast. The condition to trigger it is to have both Nox and Val at 2 but Val was at 4 for me.
Solution for me (use at own risk):
1) close game
2) delete "...MonsterCity-0.7.0-pc\game\script\park\park.rpyc"
3) open "...MonsterCity-0.7.0-pc\game\script\park\park.rpy", go to line with #NOX02 tag and change the condition from "if varTime <= 2 and storyNox == 2 and storyVal == 2:" to "if varTime <= 2 and storyNox == 2:"
4) start the game and trigger the quest
5) Don't forget to restore afterwards!

Warning: at the time of writing this i did not check if doing so breaks something or not. I also have no idea if it happened because i progressed to fast with one character or if it is a mistake in the script.

Yes this is right i had to help people with this problem in a few posts back you have to do some events before others or you will get this bug i made a list of the events that should not be done before this one. This was a well know bug on here and when i looked in the game files the same thing came up if you do the val event or some later events before meeting nox in the park it will bug out and lock you from doing the park meeting. I don't know if he knows about this problem or if he can't fix it but if you are still getting this this on 0.7 then it has been in the game from version 0.3 or 0.4 but it started around this time.

The dev does this alot he did it last time as well i looked in the game files and Elissa studying is not in the game.
these are the only new things in the game.

-Nox story and talking with Elissa's mom in Dragomira's office is part of the main story and will be in the next updates.

-Fuyu date. if you like make sure you unlock the resistance power at the time of the date this will give you more love points with her

-After Maya moves in, a new Talk function in the Room Hub lets you jump directly to her Hangout.

-Powers are now unlocked via Maya’s Hangout (removed the old shortcut via the Home icon).

-New MonstaCram posts for previously released content:

-1 unlocked via the Gym (midday)

-1 unlocked via Val’s Hangout (at Monsterfood)

-3 unlocked after Maya settles in with you

(If you’ve already played those scenes, just Sleep and they’ll unlock automatically.)

-New dialogue option at Ulva’s Hangout: unlocks an activity with Bea in the Forest all are talking scenes in the forest and you get money once all are greyed out they are done (an activity with Ulva herself will arrive next update).

-New scene with Val at the Gym (midday): unlocks an activity with Val in the Forest. 4 scenes at different times of day

-After completing the new Lyra story quest (Courtyard), a new Hangout becomes available (after attending a Class). Same as Bea's scenes all talking in the classroom keep doing them until they are greyed out
