Yeah, this looks like a bug. Neither effect works even for battles in new content, like contracts I haven't finished yet. A big shame. The double gold bonus from golden coins and the golden bracer doesn't seem to work. I'm testing it on repeatable contracts and replayed battles. Is this intentional? I was hoping stacking them both would make gold farming a lot quicker, but neither has any effect.
If I get enough issues that are worth fixing, I definitely will. I have a list:
- Wolf Tamer
- Molly's Buckler
- Finale: Ray's sprite appears misaligned at one part
- Finale: Two namebox mistakes
- Sugar's scene: Despite being in the underdark, you can see outside at one point
- Misty Woods Alchemist background appears a little too often considering how unique it looks
- Erika uses her old sprite in the 'creation' battle.
I googled this, and see a lot of posts on various RPGMaker games getting this issue. I'd recommend a fresh install, it sounds like it might be file corruption, potentially due to compression or encryption messing up. You can move your saves forward.

Another round of bugs for the dev, I didn't even catch these this time.Another strange thing. Casting False Promise on someone with delay causes Ray to cast nothing, but the turn and TP are used up anyway, and FP's cooldown is still there. Delay also causes an already cast False Promise to end prematurely.
Also, reflected damage doesn't seem to count for False Promise, because attacking the ice turtle with FP still causes damage.
Again, is all of this intentional or a bug?

Well, shit. Yes, I'm playing on RPGMaster.Quick question.
Are you playing on RPGMaster? If so, you're actually getting LESS money with these active, since having either of them seems to cancel out the bonus from playing on RPGMaster difficulty.
But also the game only displays the base amount of gold on end of battle, not the actual amount you receive.
Also from testing, it seems like (At least on RPG Master), this is how the gold is calculated.
I used the "Dark Elves" contract in Elven Kingdom for testing.
Base Amount from fights: 1,200G.
Amount with Golden Bracer: 2,200G.
Amount with Golden Bracer + Golden Coin: 1,800G.
Amount with only Golden Coin: 2,400G.
As you can see, Golden Bracer gives no bonus and cancels out the RPGMaster Bonus, and while Golden Coin DOES give bonus gold, it's nowhere near the "200%" drops it promises, it's more like an extra 50%.
Actually on further testing, it seems like
Dev please help, I've been doing the math around the gold issue and something's not adding up.

Base amount for Dark Elves quest =600G.
Amount with RPG Master Difficulty is 1200G.
Somehow when completing the quest on Normal difficulty I gained 800G instead of 600G, with no items that increase gold gained.
And in addition, wearing Golden Bracer on RPG Master Difficulty yields no gold gain whatsoever. (1,200)
And using Golden Coin without Golden Bracer on RPG Master Difficulty yields no gold gain either. (1,200)
And using them both together on RPG Master yields no bonus. (1,200)
However, and I don't know why, all my earlier testing yielded wildly different results (somewhere between 1,800-2400), so I don't know if I was just losing track at points or what, but regardless, it does seem that the bonus gold from these items aren't working properly, at least on RPGMaster. I haven't full tested on Normal difficulty yet.
And also if they DID increase gold gain, it's not showing in the results screen of battles.
All this testing was done on a post-game chapter skip save.
Tested it myself. It seems to be inconsistent. At times, there is no effect. At times, it does indeed halve the bonus. Orochimaru in Hayakawa is halved with the golden bracer on.Quick question.

Will there be a fix for the gold bonus bugs in a future bugfix update or is it one of those RPGM quirks that are just too impractical to work around? I'm assuming the False Promise bug is too impractical considering the game's size.View attachment 5490277
The Gold and Item Drop traits are baked into the RPGMaker engine, so they very likely don't stack, and frankly, may not work at all under certain conditions.
For example, HP Regen + Additional Max HP doesn't work by default in RPGMaker.
This same Party Ability is used both on the Golden Coin, Golden Bracer and RPGMaker Difficulty, and at least to me, it would make absolutely no sense for this to be inconsistent. Bizarrely, perhaps there's a coding quirk that cause these to cancel each other out.
Regarding False Promise's issues, that's a tough one. I can't actually code for shit in JavaScript, it's something taken from the YanFly website. It makes you take 0% Physical, Magical and Percentage Damage, but you can still take certain types of Pure/Certain damage. That's not intentional, but it's just one of those surprise mechanics. I can't say why it doesn't work with delay, but the game unfortunately has about ten different types of delays, so it's hard to troubleshoot around.
I don't want to mess around too much with the game, because it's been years since I developed it, and I don't have as strong of an understanding of the code as I did back then. I assume the gold bonus fix would require another third party script. Will there be a fix for the gold bonus bugs in a future bugfix update or is it one of those RPGM quirks that are just too impractical to work around? It is, I've been playing on the steam version, but they should be the same either way, except Steam has achievments.is the 2.0 also in the steam version? I'm fairly sure that it is, but just making sure.
