v0.23.02
Cute art. Good, funny writing. Disappointing gameplay.
You're a carrot farmer in a world where monster girls are known to be bloodthirsty beasts who kill any who step foot into their forests. However, one day a cute dog girl shows up on your doorstep. To your great surprise, not only is she able to talk but she explains that she's jealous of how your neighbor's dog gets treated and would much prefer to sleep and eat all day as your pet. So begins your life as a monster girl farmer.
There are multiple writers but I didn't notice too much of a difference in scene quality. The bigger problem (which time will hopefully fix) is that scene priorities seem very off. The main dog girl has two real-life scenes that include brief flashes of nudity but four dream sequences where you inhabit her body. Of the other five girls currently in the game, they include one dryad and one "cherry tree girl" which is basically an Asian dryad as far as I can tell. Hopefully, eventually there will be many scenes and many girls but for now I would have liked to see more variation and dog girl scenes.
As mentioned, the gameplay isn't much. It's set up to feel like a management sim: you need to earn enough to feed your girls or something. But in reality there's no constraints at all currently. You can't actually even feed the girls and nothing happens if you don't have any dog food or soil or whatever in your inventory each day. You have limited energy but there's no time limit so you can just rest to refill it whenever. You can make infinite money (albeit slowly) just by farming so there's no pressure or strategy: if you need money you farm; if you need energy you sleep; if you need something else you just buy it.
in order to unlock new scenes with the girls you have to raise their affection but that's also way too easy. They have an amount of affection (depending on their level) that you need to meet before running out of energy. You can use energy on various actions like chatting, headpats, taking them for a walk, etc. Some girls will prefer certain actions (mushroom girl doesn't like walks, for example) but you can just spam the actions they do like until the bar fills--again there's no real strategy needed. Also you can give items which do not cost energy and trivialize the entire thing. Giving ant girl a chocolate bar gives over 100 affection (most girls require 70-120 from what I saw). Other gifts for other girls won't give as many points but they're all game-breaking.
Last side note is that there's an option to use items on yourself instead of gifting them but it never seemed to do anything. For example, I was hoping that using the chocolate on me while interacting with ant girl would lead to something sexy but nothing happened.
So that's it. The art is cute. The writing is great. The gameplay is almost clicker-esque in its simplicity and I got bored after a bit.
