Loved the simplicity, the only things you get permanently is just armor and sword while the mandatory item to keep getting is just potions which are easy to get.
The mechanic of fighting is quite nice with how each monster changes the speed of it, Mimics slow attack but fast defending, but then the way the final boss changes the mechanic of letting you defending to being a quick react or get hit was a good surprise.
The story is simple to understand and there isn't so many monuments that you have to note it down alot like MatPat to FNAF, only 8 monuments throughout the labyrinth neatly telling the story of the boss.
Loved this game, I hope there are a bit more games like this.
