The best game in the NTS genre, and a very good game on its own

NTS (= netorase) often has the problem that it's exactly the same as NTR (= netorare), with the only exception being that the MC thinks to himself, "I'm actually okay being a beta, getting cucked and humiliated."
This is not the case in Moonripple Lake. This is a story about a strong couple opening up their relationship. The dynamic is marked by reciprocal respect, clear mutual consent, and both partners being on equal footing. The sharing dynamic in their relationship goes both ways, offering plenty of action for both the MC and Suzie with other characters. At the same time, it delivers lots of passionate moments between the two partners themselves. It has a lighthearted, playful, and fun atmosphere to it. There is no worry about cheating or going behind someone's back; communication is clear. In the decision-making process everyone is involved—even the player in most cases—having the ability to choose major scenes (to the point where NTS is almost completely optional).
So while neither made for NTR extremists nor for possessive purists, the game finds a middle ground where many players can enjoy some welcome variety.
(Some of that variety includes completely optional femboy content.)
The AI art does its job very well, providing stunning visuals. The character renders—especially for the female cast—are incredible.
The plot of the game is its weakest aspect, only taking a background role to the slice-of-life story being told.
In general, the quality of the game is very good, complete with some nice sound design and immersive animations.
Banana Cream Games immediately landed a hit, and the future looks promising!

Perfect use of AI art, good buildup before scenes and interesting storyline. NTS theme and choices have some consequences. Animations in the new chapters are a great addition. Next chapter can't come soon enough.

One of the best games I've ever played, I highly recommend it, guys. The story of two young couple (boyfriend and girlfriend) is very fun, with plenty of teasing and very well-written content. The game itself is more captivating than the smut (which is also great, by the way). 10/10. ♡

I was skeptical about ai art at first, but gotta admit it's more complicated than just a prompt and the result is good. The dev does what a good dev's gotta do : write a fucking good story, and oh boi moonripple is a good one. Hope we'll see this project wrapped up by the end on 2027 like announed.

Hi, really well made game i enjoy it a lot, the history is very entertaining and the characters are funny and charismatic, this is clearly example of how porn games should be nice smooth animations and engaging stories.

For a VN like this to work it needs to do well, in my opinion, 3 things: art, pacing and characterization.

The overall appeal of the art in this game is amazing. Characters feel distinct enough from each other and are absolutely well designed. It's how AI should be used right now, meaning it expedites development and lowers the overall budget, but still requires manual touches for it to look actually good. Clearly the Dev understands that and is pretty obvious that some post work have been done all around.

On the pacing, to me it's clear most Adult VN devs don’t realize their limits as writers. Good structure and grammar aren’t enough sometimes. For long walls of text you need to have strong prose. 99% of porn game devs don’t have it tho. In this game I don't think the Dev’s prose capabilities matter. The imagery carries the story alongside the minimum required text, keeping everything fluid, never overstaying its welcome. Every scene serves a purpose by moving the story forward or setting up future erotic events, none of it feels like complete filler or attempts at higher writing or something. Also, the dialogue feels realistic and flowy considering the context of the VN. That's why I think this game stands out among the rest when it comes to pacing, never leaving that feeling that things are either too fast or slow, it's just right.

To top it off, the characterization is strong. Not once did any character act out of line with their established traits. The surprises come from the situations, not from characters behaving unpredictably. That’s, to me, how fiction should work, you should usually know how a character will respond. It makes the story more satisfying and immersive. You look forward to the situations themselves instead of wondering if someone will act irrationally just to subvert expectations.

If the dev can maintain this level of quality through the end we'll have one of the best AVNs of all time.

VISUALS ★ ★ ★ ★ ★
The artistic component is well-cared for. Despite the extensive use of AI, the overall effect is pleasant and consistent. As of now, the animations are few, mostly created through the use of two alternating frames but convincing. The latest chapters also feature more articulated ones. The "spicy" scenes graphically fulfill their purpose. Also, every scene, even the safe ones, Is crafted with care: visuals always depict writings.

SOUND ★ ★ ★ ★ ★
The sound design, often underrated, is properly treated here. The music choices are always coherent and appropriate, perhaps just lacking a bit of identity. Similarly, the choice of sound effects is spot-on, managing to emphasize the narration, particularly for the "interesting" scenes.

GAMEPLAY ★ ★ ★ ☆ ☆
Gameplay, being a visual novel, is not its core. Besides reading, there are predetermined sections of the story where we can move freely on the city map. In these parts of the game, in addition to figuring out the right way to proceed with the story—which is quite evident—we can collect sexy polaroids as a secondary collectible. As of now, choices are few and exclusively concern the "spicy" scenes.

WRITING ★ ★ ★ ★ ★
The writing is the best I have ever found in an NTS game, and among the best I've ever seen in adult games. The characters are believable and well-written, the dialogues are realistic and error-free, and the pacing is perfect for a story of this type: neither too fast nor impossibly slow. I haven't skipped a single dialogue. The story follows multiple threads: the one between the protagonist and Suzie intertwines with a supernatural narrative element and, more generally, with the city's events. This last part of the story has not yet been explored in depth (Chapter V) but proves to be interesting.

H- SCENES ★ ★ ★ ★ ★
Scenes are incredibly hot. Every frame is thought in minute detail. What makes the difference is not just the graphics, but also the audio editing and, above all, the writing. The latter is excellent both in the build-up preceding the scenes and in the scenes themselves. The ending of Chapter 4 is among the hottest I have ever seen.

• Wholesome sharing and swinging: the main focus is always the couple's pleasure and kinks; MC and Suzie love each other and there's no room for humilation and infidelty (just sharing ).

Honestly its great, there are few examples that show AI tools can be used for good, this sits on a very high pedestal pushing that standard.

Story:
Its hot man, if NTS and swinging with optional femboy content is your thing , you will be eating GOOD.
The pacing has been good so far, and I hope the dev keeps it going for a bit longer,its a fine line to walk and BCG has done great so far.
IMO NTS is at its hottest when the boundaries are still risque and taboo.
I can wait to see what BCG decides to do with the cast he has written, as there is a lot of potential for characters we have only gotten to see in passing so far, and the ones we have gotten time with up to now have been a blast.

Gameplay:
Limited but clean, I will always take a VN that only fills our plate with the tools it needs to provide its story and fun, I appreciate that this game does not have excess grinding and leveling nonsense to slog through. Nobody wants chores they have to do before enjoying something. BCG hits that perfectly.

ETA to "Culture":
No need to worry with this one, it knows its an erotic story and it gets right to it. There are no 45 minute long into monologues to skip through, or piles of puzzles before you get what you came here for. All without compromising on still telling a fun story and building the world it takes place in.

Femboys?:
only if you want this content, it can be turned off at anytime with settings, but if you do, don't sit with me at lunch tomorrow, you suck.

Final Thoughts:
This one is getting purchased, this dev is going places.

Moonripple Lake is the platonic ideal of NTS for me...

There are even roaming and collectible mechanics, breezily attuned to actually be fun. Suzie is probably my number one hottest girl across all 2D games, and Cee is surely the GOAT dickgirl baddie on this site.

Moonripple v0.51 is a visual novel that offers a modicum of choices, made exclusively with artificial intelligence art by BCG. The game’s central premise revolves around sharing the girlfriend with random men in the small town the couple has just moved to, emphasizing multiple times that it is a conscious decision made by a very generous couple. The main story concerns the mystery surrounding the seemingly placid city of Moonripple Lake. You are thrown into it almost immediately, and from then on your attention is divided between hanging out with friends and slowly grappling with this element of strangeness. As of now, the contrasting plot remains underdeveloped, existing mostly in the background and not yet strong enough to truly hook the player. The art follows the typical anime style produced through ai but is polished nearly to perfection by the developer, giving it a distinct look compared to other creators who use the same tools. Still, small inconsistencies sometimes break immersion, particularly when different images of the same character don’t quite align, along with the lingering sense of artificiality. The side characters offer unique personalities, making their interactions feel distinct from one another. However, in a game centered on an open relationship, it is difficult to avoid the impression of a weak protagonist who seems to take pleasure in watching others enjoy his woman. If you are into this kind of relationship, Moonripple may be a hit. Otherwise, it will not be a satisfying experience.

As a self-proclamed connoisseur but also a designer my self in the past, the attention to the detail here is nuts, the scenery is fantastic, -ye ye, we know AI yadayadada, but the thing is, IF you know how to handle the tool, then my friends, you DO have a work of art.

Won't spoil anything, but quality-wise this one is hard to beat, A LOT of care, please consider playing it.

Tasty. Easygoing. A bit of text chunker but spicy enough. The scenes are two or three images to create the motion effect, but those are so good thati t definitly worth. Fully recommendable. We Want More!!!!

We want to see more games like this with really beautiful art, pretty good story with nice netorase and good balance between scenes and dialogues, it's only missing more interaction with environment and more sound effects.

really a good game, ntr, nice cg, the story very hot. It's worth trying because you'll like it, the creator is constantly updating the game or publishing development updates. The NTR is very well done and the story is engaging.

Moonripple Lake is loads of fun. It starts off feeling like it’s going to be another crypto playboy harem story but it quickly takes a few fun twists, introducing a fantastical story element and a few less-common kinks in optional* swinging and femboy content (warning: although you have control over whether your girlfriend goes all the way, it seems to be scripted that you’ll encourage your girlfriend to tease and rub against other dudes). It has a charming cartoon style and a carefree tone/promiscuity that reminds me a little of Summertime Saga and makes for a lighthearted read.

The thing that stops me from giving this game 5 stars is the level of complexity. One area this can be seen is its branching--there was one point where I must’ve passed at least 20,000 words between dialogue choices (and I’ve noticed in URM that none of the choices I've made so far changed the story in a meaningful way). The other area it presents in is its AI art.

I'm not outright opposed to AI art or low-interaction gameplay, but I think if you're going to cut corners in both of those areas, you need to make up for it with an absolutely killer story. So far, Moonripple Lake's isn't quite there yet.

Still, I highly recommend checking out Moonripple Lake for yourself. It’s fun, sexy, and easy to pick up and put down.

High quality game, AI is used well and it doesnt look cheap. Well written, plot is advancing. Not too many characters. Only real ding is there doesn't seem to be any choices other than if you want to see certain content or not (and even then its limited in some manners)

Gret developer, fast turnaround, reeeeally good game! I honestly feel this is quickly becoming my favorite game on here, and for good reasons. Art is fantastic, story is kickass (hot with a ladle of supernatural mystery), and updates are chunky (just like Suzi's ass :3).

While other hyped up games crawling and making blue balls watching GF waiting for NTS action , MNRL does some of it by v0 . 5 in very hot way. Despite some development pause in the way, which make over itself by latest update. By far this project is#1 favorite on the list!

I half expected another low effort cg-ai game, but damn was I wrong. The dev has put a lot of effort and attention into this game and it shows. The art style fits and the images look great. The sound bits are very nice and immersive. The story is a bit generic but intriguing and weaves nicely into the game without taking too much space.

My only criticism is the writing between the two main characters..it's a bit bland and forced, everything is spelled out beforehand. It kills any tension or potential drama as a consequence of their actions. If the MC was less direct about him wanting his girl to act like a slut and she was a bit more naive to his desires it could build more naturally, instead the MC tells her in the first scene of the game "act more like a slut" I'm paraphrasing. It's too forced.

Overall the characters we've met so far are quite good, hoping the bartender girl will bring something different in terms of personality than the other girls. We have 5 "yes-girls" in the game so far, we don't need another one. And by "yes-girls" I mean girls who would deepthroat the MC without any hesitation or expectation. 4 if you don't wanna count the red haired "succubus" lady..since she want to devour us literally...

Anyway, really good game I want more! MORE!
