To be honest, I feel AI-art is inevitable. AI-generated content is becoming more popular among devs. But the methods aren't the issue: The outcome is... :WeSmart:

Even though AI can create content much faster than people, which is probably the biggest benefit, these images are extremely far from replacing the human hand. They're lacking in crucial details and messed up basic features.

But if it's something smart-edited, then I'm cool with it. (y)

THX for the share, and GL...

Yeah, I also feel the same way about the fact that AI generated images are missing something, I think that most of the hand-drawn character have something like a soul, those tiny details that make a char unique, wich is not the case for AI generated images.
But I'll try a different thing with this game, mixing different AI style and adding more NSFW content to it with a fairly fast update rate !

I disagree. I mean, I think you’re partially right. I think the AI debate is MUCH more complicated than end result. I won’t get into it in a short post on this comment, but there is a moral and principled component as well.

Moist Critical said it best: “If you’re making AI personally for you, that’s great, but AI isn’t a tool like a brush or a pen, cause someone had to learn that and create it. It’s yours. AI is limited by your keyboard prompt and you can’t own it.”

Paraphrasing of course. But AI (used creatively) is for the people who don’t have a skill off the backs of the people who have limitless skill. However, the kicker is that those people can’t consent to be used by the AI. You tell me if there’s something wrong there.

I think AI is a great entry point, especially for Devs who have zero experience with Art. Investing time learning how to program, only to then have to invest even more time learning how to draw and make your own art for a game costs a lot, I understand that There is the "Hire an artist" part, but let's face it, this is not easy for a project made from scratch, even more so for an indie developer, this issue becomes even more difficult for NSFW games that have a very niche audience.

I think it's cool that more and more projects are able to get out of the box thanks to AI, and I don't think this affects projects that don't use AI, from my POV the only difference is that now there are more projects.

NO, study a.i. if it interests you, but:

1. invest all you time in learning it - it's a lot
2. constantly follow its progress and update your skills
3. wait
4. keep doing 1. 2. 3. for like a year
5. start making a game
6. people will love you

i'm saying this because obviously all ai "games" today will make no sense in 6 months - will be complete garbage (kinda as they are now). so don't waste your time "experimenting" - we all know a paragraph of text is hardly an experiment.
