There are games that fail to maintain character consistency. Yes, characters evolve and grow throughout the story, but certain values should not be overcome. They should be rooted in the character's personality, at least the important ones. Some developers forget this.

A glaring example is Kiara.

I say Kiara because she's the most obvious to me, but I could name many others: Betty? Debbie? Olivia? Eva? Consistency, damn it, consistency!

Negative ? or Positive example ? Kiara is for me one of those characters, which I like most.
Because of the blooming of her personality,

I think what Gino is trying to say is that Kiara, Betty, Debbie, and others have grown as characters but kept certain traits that make them unique and identifiable.

Some developers forget that. For a small example: Emma consistently loves pink, no matter how much she grows as a person, she'll always love pink. At least, that's how I interpret it.

Pretty close. I'm saying that Ivi whore Zach to get Hester. And that's totally out of character for her. Here, that kind of shit doesn't happen.

:HideThePain:Start reading comments from the very end and not from the top is a really, really bad idea! While I was trying to figure out who "Zach" or "Hester" were, I thought Trope had turned the whole story around 180 degrees and almost went crazy, oh my brain.... 1000259581.gif

Spending more time with my twin children makes me realize that I am getting older...:coffee: :HideThePain:

Oh you figured it out? I'm still in the dark... maybe it's better that I don't know...

Trope, have you considered offering the game on GoG instead or in addition to Steam? As Valve is coming down harder and harder on NSFW games it's becoming quite a risk to buy any NSFW game there and to be able to expect you can buy upcoming seasons there too. The most recent one I have seen is for Tales From the Unending Void: Season 2 being refused despite it just being a continuation of Season 1, nothing outrageously different. This in addition to severely limiting the currencies one can buy games with.
At this point I think it would be wise for both developers & consumers to start looking for alternative platforms.

I have plenty of "image not found" error in this update!
Which image files does it complain about (upper left corner)? If they start with c20, c19, c18, or any lower value, you aren't loading a save from the end of Season 2.
Replay Season 2 until the end, make a save, and load it on Season 3.

Thanks! I think changing characters too much isn't good. As you say, evolving them is right, but not changing them until they aren't unrecognizable.
I had some issues writing Debbie's date because of that. She isn't the girl who landed at the airport anymore, but how much has she changed? The good thing is that I can show her having unexpected personality traits when it comes to lewd scenes, because we haven't seen her in that environment. She could be daring or surprising because she's excited about it, but that won't change her core personality.
Same with Kiara. Her shower scene surprised some players, but it's in her line of evolution. She's now free and wants to make up for the lost time. But when she's around other people, she returns to her meek self (even if she's trying to get out of it)—more on that in the next update.

Just waking up and reading this was hard. Trying to figure out who Ivi and Hester could be :ROFLMAO: . I thought of Kate and Kim, but they aren't renameable. Then I discovered you were talking about another game, and I was like: "I'm an idiot "

I'm not sure My Dorm will get on Steam right now. I sent them the latest build two weeks ago, and they marked it as failed more than a week ago, but haven't said anything else.

GoG could be an option, but I should understand their system first. You need to be voted on by players before they publish it!!!

I have no idea how GOG works from the developer's side. But from the player's side, I can only say good things about GOG.

During the last months I bought several games from GOG. Zero from Steam.

If you need votes from players to get My Dorm published on GOG, you will certainly get mine.
