Milkseki game with a surprising degree of heroine plot development. Usually the developer cucks the protagonist's main love interest as a form of balancing. But, this game, which starts with a single protag; surprisingly excludes this implementation, putting the main focus on just netori. I could do with more of this. I can see that not all of the heroines got the attention they deserved for their routes, but even with that criterion, this game is still great for what it is. Maho was good as a starter heroine but I would've preferred some genuine rapport, character exploration, and an alternative route where blackmail wasn't needed. Ayame's route was interesting enough but lacking in emotional attachment and my personal preference warrants an alternative route for genuine pursuit. Mimi was done dirty. Sort've felt like her route was left half-finished, lacking in any sort've finality or weight to interactions. Kana: my favorite route. I have no complaints. It has all the elements I take to in these types of games: stealing hearts, defiance of social constructs, pride over matter, allusions to past deeds, and more. Except, maybe the translation could be redone to better express how I believe every other heroine's route should've been. Finally, I believe a set of afterstories would've been nice for further plot development as well as a big fat fin or the end to wrap things up. Overall, this game isn't perfect, but which one is? There's always space for development. This work gave me the inspiration to dream of IFRoute, and that's saying a lot compared to some dumpster fires. Although it has a lot to do with self-satisfaction, I wish Milkseki for more.
