My girlfriend amnesia save problem

So i played quite a bit of My girlfriend has amnesia(a lot considering my available free time)
and one day I started it and the continue button was greyed out and it was obvious that the saves were deleted or corrupted or whatever
And I found the save folder and they were there 4 files of saves like it should be, but the game just couldnt detect them..
What do I do, i know I could start over but I really coundnt be bothered, since it really does take a lot of time to do stuff based on games design.
Any help would be apriciated.

Update I deleted my My GF has amnesia folder and i extracted it again, and started A new game
Saved
Overwritten saves but it still registers the New save I made, like those saves dont exist...
I guess its all over again for me..
