VN - Ren'Py - My Goddess [v0.05] [Blackthunder_vn]

This is in general quite competently made but it is not really anything that sticks out for its quality either.

It is very vanilla, the renders are good but nothing fantastic, the animations are simple. The sex scenes are super short and lack in options. There is a good cast of LIs that have some defined personalities even if they are very porn-oriented.

All of them fall for the MC in seconds, most of the conversations are about the MC and how awesome he is... etc.

The MC himself is one of the biggest drawbacks of the VN. He is a "nice guy". All women are goddesses, amazing, fantastic, he is sooo in love with all of them, they are all flawless... there is not a single time when he says anything wrong or bad to any LI, and they all lap it up without question.

The latest update even gives us a reasonably upset customer coming to his place of business and being upset (again, with a very valid reason) with the MC's boss, so he calls her a bitch.... what follows is one of the most cringe inducing conversations I have ever read. It feels like a 14 year old's image of what a "gentleman" should behave like, and, again, is full of "nice guy" vibes. Complete with a full dose of homophobia towards the customer for no reason at all.

The way the dev has of making the MC "dominant" is behaving like a total simp towards every single woman.

So yeah, if you can read this without thinking too much, have a couple hours to spare and want to see a competently made AVN that has no glaring issues with lightning, composition... etc, then this is ok. But is also totally forgettable and perfectly average.

I do not think this deserves more than 3/5 all things considered.

+ simple vanilla story focused on relationship with girls

+ likable MC who is also a bit dominant
+ lewd scenes. I like that my MC can fuck girl properly, that's how it should be done

- I don't find any serious cons, maybe no gallery, that's all

Solid, simple vanilla avn without deep story. Game also has potential for the main girl to become a real cuckquean. 4 stars

I love this VN. Guy starts off having a really shitty day and then the plot just gets wholesome af. I always look forward to the updates on this. I genuinely hope it gets to the point where MC gets to confront his dad. That would be fantastic.

Version 0.03, so early on but quite a bit of content for this early version.

This is a really nice VN, no magic, no vampires - dude has a bad day, and starts having much better days after that kicking his new life off. This MC is a nice guy, decent, not an ass and doesn't take advantage of every opportunity that he gets.

Lots of MILFs (I like that) and a few others in there, lots of set up already for multiple LIs and a Harem type setting.

Graphics are good, the ladies are nice and the main LI is a beauty and properly represented (MILF).

Well written, didn't really see bad english and only a couple of lines of awkwardness. Kept me engaged and I didn't skip.

Really, really liked it. Its vanilla, so don't be expecting lots of kinks, or at least not yet.

Absoulety a 4 star already, I will modify as it goes along and if updates continue at this quality and length quantity it can keep those stars

I really like this game, so far, easily in my top 10 of all time! There is something about this story that resonates with me! The only issue I have is the speed at which they seemingly fell for each other, but, hey Love at first sight is not unknown? I just imagine most of us these days would be too jaded for that to happen!

A very good start I would say, I really enjoyed the dinner with Edith getting her revenge on Joshua. Then the trip back to see MC’s landlady and roommate (you can change relationships). Release 0.02 only but there are a lot of good content already, I was agreeably surprised. The only negative point is that it’s a kinetic novel, so zero choice, like it or not, you’ll get ‘em all! For the moment it’s no big deal, most of the women are really nice towards the MC and the few ones who are not will eventually get what they deserve (Vera facing a firm rejection from the MC was epic).

This game just became my new favorite. I did not skip a sentence, and even though the game is in version 0,02 it took me some hours to get through it.
I love the varied LI's, they look realistic. The MC looks good, he seems like a humble and good guy, and I'm relieved that he is not some MMA-x green beret guy who just goes around one shotting people while being cringy as hell.
Is the game realistic? -No, but I like it, It is a harem fantasy.
I was considering waiting to play this game until it had a few more updates, but seeing as I was in a game-drought I gave it a chance, and I loved it. How you crammed so much into less than 500 mb I dont understand.
I see different reviews here, showing that people have different tastes. Not everyone will like the same things. I really hope you keep at this game the way it is while it heats up in the future. To me it was refreshing not having to deal with sandbox, rapey mc's, futa, cats and all of that stuff.

Story is bland. Girls lack variety. MC seems like a pushover. MC's gf cheats on him and he does nothing about it. If you are looking for a harem game you can find better. Everything about this vn is average at best.

I'm not a native English speaker, so I apologize for any mistakes.
The game was a bit short, which is a little disappointing. The story is really great, and I also appreciate the art. However, some images are a little dark, making it difficult to see. I hope this can be upgraded in a new update. I didn't listen to the music, so I can't comment on that.

I just finished the Prologue and felt compelled to submit my rating. I don't do them very often, because frankly a lot of the games I download haven't spark my interest as fervently as My Goddess. I came for the name, but I played through to the end because I was hooked into the story. If you enjoy a good MILF game, this game is for you. I have no critiques to offer and cannot wait for the next release. Thank you Blackthunder.

Honestly, it's not a bad start and I liked how it started with the MC's life falling apart all in one day. From the moment the MC hits the bar, however, it all goes downhill from there.

I know it's early, but ffs, the MC goes from one failed relationship right into another. I thought it might be more of a "hit it and get it" kind of scenario, but within 24hrs, the MC is right back into a serious relationship with some random hookup.

I love how right before the MC leaves the hotel room, he turns to the reader and says "okay, from now on you will be making the decisions for me" and right off the bat I am like "NO! Don't agree with this trainwreck of idea!" but of course, you have no choice. In fact, you NEVER have a choice. I played the first two updates and there was not even 1 choice. Crazy.

And then there is the whole "Landlady" "Tenant" bs. All the dev has to do to totally make this perfect is to add a sandbox, some point and click to clean up a room or some equally lame task and add a phone that does nothing but texting.

Anyway, I am sure this is going to appeal to a certain demographic, but it's just not for me.

Still at the prologue, and it did not managed to capture me but, i will keep it on watch.
the MC is alright, even tho the inicial scene should definitely be somewhat more engaging, at the very least interrupt what is goin on.

The forced relationship would be tolerable if the female character had some personality and at least better looks. i mean, the MC was already looking at engagement rings... can only hope things pick up from here and get better. even the hooker was better looking than the main female.
the other 2 girls are intriguing should have more time with them to decide.

overall as of now, the story is lacking (forced relationship, and a few other hiccups, plus prologue ), the females are ok but the MILF is very MID.

Concerns
Not even sure how to say it but here it goes.
I lost every image starting at the hot tub with Ursula and Jenny. Then it carried over where Ursula came to the MCs room. It wouldn't have been extremely bad if it hadn't continued over to the next morning.
I just exited out when it continued.

With that being said, I had to drop the stars to 2. There's just no excuse or reason for images to me missing on this scale a year into development.

Recommendations
Go back and start over and make sure the issue is fixed. Might up the rating back to 3 stars.
Sadly I will be skipping this VN going forward. Which is bad because I actually like Blackthunder_vn's work.

It is a great start, still has the Troubled Legacy vibe with some good humor and good story for what there is so far being the first update.
Looking forward to see how the rest of the story goes, as I already really enjoy the 3 main women.

While I am not a fan of "the scene" that starts this off. I've played the dev's other VN and am not worried about NTR or cucking, and trust when he says there will be nothing else like that. It is somewhat understandable why he added that scene. I do hope the MC gets some sortof revenge at a later date. On the technical side good amount of content for a prologue. Main LI and the two future ones looked good. Dev has mentioned there will some younger non-milf ones in the future, look foward to that. Other than a few typoos, it was easy to read and follow. Hope in the future we will have control over who we add to the harem. Liked Sloane as a character from the bit we got to meet her, would not mind seeing her again in the future, although due to her profession I think a lot of people would blow up. Overall a pretty good start and I look foward to seeing where this goes.
