What you're saying is true.
Ultimately, they're both playing a game against each other, one they could both lose in the end.
The real winners in the end are Bruce and, to some extent, Erick.
And if I understand the story correctly, at a certain point, Jim at least partially knows what's going on between Doug and Raffa, and what Raffa is doing with Bruce and Erick.
And even on the Red Trail, when Raffa tries to hide what she's doing with Jim, Jim still tells Doug and sends him messages and pictures.
I think Raffa isn't just a slut.
She's a nymphomaniacal, or in other words, she's a sex addict.
I think Erick's so-called magic pills and the heavy drinking intensify Raffa's sex addiction even more.
