VN - Others - Abandoned - My Lovely Sara [v0.6] [Caizer Games]

This is an unfinished game and also abandoned, which is a pity because what's there is fairly good despite being very vanilla. The "good stuff" is about to happen right when the content is over. I wouldn't mind seeing this project back in track by someone else

3 years ago, the game showed great promise. It was not a pity to even support the developer.
Good game, great graphics, good story.
And the cons: not enough content.
I hope the author will return to the project.

I like this visual novel, the quality of the scenes and the characters are fine, the story is not bad. I hope that the author will continue to develop this novel and if possible to do so using renpy...

Review of version 0.6

An unoriginal snooze fest that has incredibly boring writing. The characters expressions and poses are wooden and seem like mannequins. Renders are nice, but often the lighting is poorly done. It's hard to see what is happening when things are supposed to be happening in a dark room.

This is one of the more poorly written examples in the "meet-and-start-dating-my-daughter" subgenre of porn games.

Game system is Tyrano which is an immediate strike against this game, too.

I really like the model for the daughter and would love to more of her... in another game.

I gave it 2 stars for the renders and making me chuckle at the terrible writing.

I've called out DmD and similar games for having the creepy dad that grooms their daughter but this took the creepy dad and pumped it full of steroids.

Not seeing his daughter for years on the second day of meeting her, during the "getting to know you" phase, he tells her he'll act like her boyfriend for training purposes .... then massages her arse. His daughter then kisses him on the lips to which he thinks to himself "this is wrong" after just saying he'll be her boyfriend and groping her arse.

It's arguably one of the creepiest MC's i've seen in a game. The pacing is all shades of fucked up.

The writing goes from bad to downright fucking terrible.

It's like someone has played every father/daughter incest game and wanted to fit in all the tropes all at once but had no idea what order to do or how to make it look good.

It's good but latest update quite short, anyway character design good, story not bad but it can be expand need to play more emotion, but certainly it's quite good game, you all should try it, thank you for for creating it.

The game is still in early development 0.5 so my rating take that into account I like how simple it is I'm tired of the games that are a absolute grind so this is a good change but unfortunately at present there is no sexual content unless you count a interrupted main character solo masturbation

I'm not really into father-daughter relationships but this game is something else, the daughter is by far the most beautiful dauther I've ever seem in this kind of game, just Sara is worth 5 stars. One of the few game I wait from month to month

Started off really well but quickly derailed into a huge borefest - the game's taken a turn for the worse in the buildup aspect. I liked the first few episodes, particularily 1-2, but afterwards it's been nothing but a painfully slow story progression.

This game has a pretty girl at the center of it and she is rendered very well, just like the environment. Unfortunately, that is all that is good about this. The dialog writing is passable but feels...well, uninspired and boring. Feels to much like exposition instead of storytelling. It could probably be a lot better if the story itself wasn't so plain in itself.
this was not a very gripping story/VN despite it looking very pretty. If your in it for a hot girl, take a look, if you look for a well written story, look further (for now at least)

Maybe it would be a nice game if one doesn't played DmD beforehand.
Now we know what DmD would be, if MrDots follows the demands of the guys who want faster progress ...

Nice little clone we have here.

After knowing (and loving) DmD, MLS seems to be awefully rushed. No time to get involved with characters, the scenes aren't touching in the slightest.

But since there're far worse games here, 3 stars will be justifiable.

As of the time writing this review the game gets a 5 star rating for having a good story and interesting characters though it does not have many characters yet.

This game has some of the bests renders I've seen in an adult game, story wise its pretty good, but someone should probebly help the author when it comes to the correction of his or her's english spelling, it also feels a bit rushed, but that's probably just my opinion... either way, great game!

This game looks like every other game, with the same renders, the same locations. Sadly, there is nothing new here. Lot of work have to be done. Starting from main page design, and fonts. They looks like default MS World colors and graphic text. You cant reverse, because this ugly default control screen pops out with text behind it. I didnt expect much from another DmD clone so i was not disappointed. 3/5 for now.

Especially Sara looks damn great, MC looks like a model which we can see from his body alone.

Old as world incest theme or not? Couse we can choose who those characters are for each other. Even mother and son, which in this case would look stupid couse son is older than his mom. This way patreon cannot put blame on dev, what we name characters and in what roles do we see them. Smart move which avoids the problem masterly.

The only thing which can be a problem in this game is translation in english, which lacks finishing touches and is simply rough russian translated with google translator and put into the game for now it is bearable to read, but most work should be put into cleaning translation and then moving on with the rest. Review of Version 0.2.3

I like the graphics and animations, all quite promising.

The story Is okay so far if somehow familiar *cough cough*. But here is also the big negative for me as of now. It doesn't feel very organic. Everything feels rushed, even forced. It kind of feels like there was a set of scenes existing but the point to which the dev wanted to proceed to in the story was to far ahead for the rest but he was determined to cram It in there somehow.

It still get's a 'good' from me (4 of 5) since I like the premise, the graphics are well done and there are not major issues that I am aware of.

The following review is based off my personal experience with playing this Game/Visual Novel... I try to be as brutally honest and detailed as I can, and these are my own opinions and thoughts, from one or more play throughs...


(12/25/2017 - Original Review - v0.1)

This Visual Novel is not bad so far... It does have a familiar feel from when I read DMD, but it is sufficiently different to not be a copy cat... Obviously it is another Family Sex based VN/Game, but we'll have to see how much focus there is on the sex over telling a good story... I hope to see more of the later, or at the least, some balance... Only time will tell...

The visuals of the characters are pretty good so far, and the backdrops look unique and creative... The airplane ride looked a lot different then I've ever seen, with the office table look... I'll assume it was some version of 1st class seating, or something you might see in a personal jet... Still, it was a nice touch and flowed well with the story... Not sure what engine this one uses, as it took a minute to fully load up... But it has multiple save slots, which is always a plus...

The script is full of broken English, but it's not so bad that I couldn't figure out what it was saying... I did have to re-read stuff now and then to really get a sense of what the author/s were trying to actually say... I would highly recommend having it retranslated/interpreted to not be such a hard read for English speakers... The story is about the male protagonist father who divorced his wife and she took their daughter away and refused to allow him contact for several years... At first it had a familiar feel from when I read/played Dating my Daughter as far as the backstory, but then it changed from that point and I could tell it wouldn't be exactly the same... Like when the ex-wife's sister contacted the protagonist, and he then flew to meet his daughter... I actually enjoy the fact that this VN is focusing more on the story and script then a bunch of sex non-sense just being thrown at the reader/player willy-nilly... There isn't any actual erotic scenes in this version, but at this point I'm happy to see the author/s seem more focused on writing a good story over throwing lots of sex at the readers/players right off the bat...

Overall, I get the feeling that this VN will have a deep and entertaining story as well as a good script... Even though it is hard to read sometimes... Visually it looks good and for being so early into it's development, I have high hopes it will keep up the good work... I look forward to trying this one again once it gets a bit further into development... Bravo to the author/s thus far, and I hope it stays story focused...


(02/16/2018 - Review Update - v0.2)

Well, it's been a few months since I played the initial release of this visual novel/game... The broken English appears to have been pretty much fixed as it reads just fine now, which is a plus... The downside is that prior game saves do not show up in the list, but that seems to happen a lot with early production visual novels/games, so it's not a big deal...

The story still seems well told and does feel like it will most likely go down a love/romance route... But that being said, I'm seeing more and more resemblance to Dating My Daughter... Such as the fact that the mother doesn't want the protagonist in her daughters life... The protagonist starts off some of his rekindling relationship with his daughter with things like a massage and going on a date/outing...

And even though the situation is slightly different, the story just feels a bit unoriginal... Like it is just a variation of the same story as DMD, and others... With the protagonist not being around his daughter due to an overbearing/vengeful parent, they meet up again, and the relationship instead of going down a typical father/daughter reconnecting motif, it obviously is heading more towards a blooming sexual relationship... He even offers to teach her about boys by pretending to be girlfriend/boyfriend, just like in DMD...

There is a bug with waking up on Day 2, where left clicking the mouse does not move the story forward, and sometimes the scenes with first checking the park out end up replaying when Day 2 first starts (leading back to the Day 2 waking up scene again)... After several restarts I finally just pressed CTRL to skip through the hotel room waking up part, after which the game worked correctly again... That will need to be fixed...

Overall, the story is decent and the visuals look good, but I get a revamped Dating My Daughter feel to this story, and how it is playing out... Even with the slight differences, it still feels a bit unoriginal and not as creative as it could have been... It's almost like the same box as DMD but covered in different wrapping paper... We'll have to see how future content goes... By itself, it seems good, but having played DMD and other VN/games like it, this game just doesn't shine as brightly being a slight copy-cat, with so many similarities... That's why I had to reduce it from 5 stars to 4... We'll see what the future holds, as I'll check back again after a couple content releases... Perhaps at some point it will be completely different and avoid the same similarities the current content keeps going with? Time will tell...
