Updated review for Ch. 25
Even before this updated review I had the game as five stars and it still remains one of my favorites, but I almost feel I undersold just how good My Time with You really is. As the overview states: "sit tight for a roller coaster of sappy romantic slice-of-life crap that will have you grinning from ear-to-ear, might also make you cry.," and that couldn't be more true.
It's a harem game among harem games. There is no other side plot, grand storyline, mystery to solve, etc etc. This game is about the MC, friends, and the girls. With the Koikatsu renders especially, I think this game will look very unassuming to anyone who just happens to take a glance at it. But should you care about writing, believe me when I say this game is one of the best written AVNs I have come across in the years I've been on this site.
I really don't want to spoil it so I'm going to leave out a lot of details about the narrative this follows, but the aspect that makes this whole game in the first place is the incredibly endearing cast of characters that the devs have managed to create. Seriously every single relevant character is exactly that: relevant. They all play into the story, even if only minor parts in some cases. Some of the best "bro" characters in the genre, all the love interests are wonderful, and man to put it in simple words they just have so much life to them. More than you would see in a large majority of other lewd games. And while the story is very much about all of the characters as a group, there still is so many interesting twists, turns, drama, and those sappy moments that got me to a point of really not wanting to put this game down. Few games really make me crack a smile like this has.
The Koikatsu style may put you off and the animations aren't the cream of the crop, but those things feel so minor when everything else is just so good. If you like vanilla slice-of-life harem games, this really is one of the best I've played. I said before I became a confident fan of the devs, and that has not changed. Arguably a must play if the game sounds like something you'd enjoy.
