VN - Ren'Py - My Time with You [Book 3 Ch.27] [EoloStudios]

Book 1 sucks. The main already had a chance to boink his willing, wanting sister prior to the game starting and failed the mission. The MC makes all his stupidest choices himself - your choices are inconsequential. It's really a kinectic novel at the end of the day.

Book 2 is better. It's more incestuous, especially by the end, and even though choices are still irrelevant, overall I just enjoyed My Time with It more.

Book 3 gets stupid again. It adds in supernatural crap and makes the plot more convuluted unnecessarily rather than just focusing on slice-of-life and harem-building. This game, going for a Japanese slice of life, falls completely on its face as it tries to do more non-sex stuff unnecessarily.

I wish they'd up the slice of life, choices, sex scenes, and stop pulling the story in unnecessary directions. I don't want magic; I want more boinking and cute moments in-between.

Ultimately, My Time With You is about who loves you the most. After a pretty classic AVN start with your childhood crush moving back into your life; things take an abrupt turn when your time-traveling wife appears to warn you your relationship is doomed; but she’s here to fix that. She’s been sent by your future ex-girlfriends to assemble them into a harem.

MTWY is chock-full of fantastic girls including:
    • Yukine: The long-separated childhood friend, who needs you to split open her icy, professional exterior, among other things.
    • Kanehana: An up-and-coming pop idol who’s adorableness is matched only by her talent. Help her overcome anxiety about her performance, whether on the stage or in the bedroom.
    • Akemi: Your actual landlord (and she has really huge...tracts of land), who needs your help to get some unresolved emotions about the death of your mother off her (magnificent) chest.
    • Sayumi: Your sexy time-traveler, who’s present self is supposedly out there waiting for you to sweep her off her feet. But what isn’t she telling you? Why was this girl the one to journey across time and space for you?
And more besides (at least three other girls not mentioned here)! Unfortunately the best girl is an option side girl who has barely any content so far.. Oh well, she'll have her spotlight eventually.

This game puts a strong focus on building out the harem organically; and giving each girl time to bond with the MC and each other. This is one game where you can easily believe all the characters are actually friends, and often the best moments are when they are supporting one another through adversity; not merely the lewd scenes. This game even manages to have a couple of male characters that aren’t aggravating like many other AVNs. Your best bro is someone genuinely fun and a real wingman, rather than someone you want to just go away and stop stealing screentime from the harem.

Graphics are also a selling point. While it doesn’t push Koi to the edge of its capabilities like some other games, the renders have excellent shot composition and a solid grasp of visual storytelling. Characters are expressive and unique, each with their own style.

If you’re looking for big emotional moments, cute girls, and actual romantic relationships, this is the game for you.

TLDR: This has become one of my favorite AVN's. It is not a perfect AVN but the author has real writing talent to go with great sex scenes and attractive models. Thoroughly enjoying it.
    ---
The humor is very good, the model's are attractive, I find the story oddly engaging, the characters have unique personalities (meaning different - they are still tropey but they don't all feel like the same person with a different face), and the side character personalities (especially the male ones) are very well done.

I have few complaint's and they are relatively minor.

First, the story to sex ratio is a little too low. It needs a bit more story content - which I know, is a weird thing to say about an AVN but it still struck me. It sometimes feels like the writer just wants to do a simple porn fest and is accidentally including an engaging story with it.

Along related lines, the MC cums a wildly unrealistic amount and no explanation is given for it (at least as far as I've read - middle of Book 2) other than he's young.

Next is more a limitation with Renpy (I think) - the penetration graphics just aren't right and are more jarring given the high quality of the models, the staging of the scenes, and everything else. It sucks to have one piece of not great in the middle of everything else being so good - it stands out more.

The next thing is flashbacks. I am not a fan of them in general. In fairness, the ones here are well done but they are still too frequent for my tastes.

With all that being said, I am enjoying the story and how it's unfolding. I especially like the interactions with the narrator of the story - it's kind of like an adult Princess Bride element. It's really well done.

I recognize this type of wholesome (for a harem that includes incest) tale is not everyone's cup of tea, but I really like it and am looking forward to the rest of it!

Fun characters and a found family dynamic, something I'm honestly a sucker for, come together nicely for an otherwise standard anime harem plot. The lewd animations are nothing to write home about, really, but they serve their purpose well. I personally really liked the visuals and the expressions the characters could make with this artstyle, definitely a fan of it.

The first 25% of the story, basically all of book 1, really, is just a smidge above average, but book 2 and, as of this review, 2 chapters of book 3, the plot elevates a lot and I'm now pretty invested. Gonna hold off on playing this one update to update, let it accumulate a few more chapters over the next few months/years, but it's still definitely one I'm looking forward to.

It's not the best, but it's certainly a comfy slice of life junkfood story that I'm pretty attached to already.

I'm still on Book 1, but I've experienced enough of it to have an opinion, as I'm many hours into playing.

I am in agreement with _Utakata_. Book 1 is average at best. I despise this way of organizing the story in Book 1 the way they have. It's time travel based story (character and content that is from the future), but they ALSO gratuitously use FLASHBACKS (so trips to the past in memory or dream form). So you are, on a daily basis, jumping between the future, the past, and the present. Some of my discomfort is my fault. I don't like the MC. Once again, another AVN that the MC is routinely painfully dense (often because of forced narrative, but sometimes naturally). This is a conscious choice by the writer because multiple characters in the game will berate (not tongue-in-cheek) the MC for being dense/ignorant/stupid. So this is a choice. I'm assuming this is funny for most people, but I don't get. Adding insult to injury, the MC's best male buddy is also an ignoramus. So you are inundated with "slapstick" from all sides. Then add to it, you get "I can't tell you." conversations and topics from the future character because telling the MC too much from the future timeline can mess things up. You ALSO get "I can't tell you." conversations and topics (more than once) from an LI in Book 1 that is rooted in immaturity/inexperience, I guess. Not liking the MC, his friend, nor the structure/story of Book 1 at all, had me skipping a lot of dialogue. But I would start reading new days/sections to given it a chance as the story progresses, but all of Book 1, so far, is a complete miss, for me.

It's just frustrating to plow through this when there is NOTHING for me to be invested in because I believe in none of this. I'm giving benefit of the doubt because there are 3 books. This has longevity, surely this will get better with time.

A long-time lurker, first-time reviewer here- This VN is an absolute gem—excellent writing, a genuinely interesting plot, and a cast of characters with real personality. The comedy lands just right and keeps things fresh throughout. If you love a romantic story and unique LI characters, this is banger. Highly recommended!

As of Chapter 26, I can say without any reservations this is my second favorite story on this site. There is a lot of trash on this site and finding this gem makes it all worth sifting through. The characters all feel alive and interesting, the plot is wacky enough to get away with its nonsense, and the animations are fantastic.

The characters are wonderfully thought out, each having their own unique personalities and quirks, and they are all memorable. They are consistent, interesting, and feel alive.

The plot is no more goofy than the average anime plot, however the way it is told and slowly revealed makes it very compelling. If you do not like to read, you will not enjoy this. If you are normal, then you will not regret giving this a shot.

I forget the names of different engines, but whatever this one is the dev knows exactly what they are doing with it and makes the most of it. The sex scenes, while being more like a good entree than the main course, are well done and are not shoe horned in. They feel like they flow with the story and are tastefully done.

Why only 4 stars? Nothing is perfect. Like I said, this is the second best story on this site in my opinion only losing to Out of Touch by a few inches. However if you enjoy that you will most certainly enjoy this. The dev clearly has put a ton of time, passion and energy into this and it shows in the fantastic product before you today. I would recommend this to anyone literate, and hope they enjoy it as much as I have. I wish the dev the best as he continues forward with this project, and have liked it so much I have decided to throw some money at him. I could very easily see this as being a mange or anime show, and I think it would meet great success.

Legitimately confusing how the game has this rating. The humor didn't work for me at all, the visuals were bog-standard, the story made me cringe and the MC was completely unlikable. The use of japanese words written in english is a... Choice. Chapter transitions with the cat-girl were an annoying, immersion-breaking shtick. Maybe I'm just not the right type of audience because this is some very deep anime brainrot but I just really felt like this product was mocking me in the face. Don't recommend this unless your media diet is 100% manga/anime because it'd be up your alley and, obviously, your brain has already been fried by that point anyway.

just finished book 2. Wow. This is actually so good, it's rare that a porn game manages to make me care for almost every character.

If you like long & good stories, great characters, some very cool plot twists and GOOD wincest, then I 100% recommend

A very well written story, it's everything it promises to be and than more. It's light, funny, yet intriguing. It leaves you with a warm feeling inside just from reading and you simply can't get enough

Damn, I can't believe an AVN actually made me cry a bit. Chapter 25 got me teary eyed after Hime saw the video at the end of the chapter, then some ninja cutting onions in chapter 26. I really don't want to imagine how it would be like when FMC finally have to go back to the future.
If you just want to fap, then I don't recommend this one. but if you want to read a well written story then you have to try this.

Definitely a top 3 game here from my view.

Story is pretty amazing. There is a lot of talking instead of sex every 2 minutes. But it's not boring, I think it is genuinely interesting stuff. Plot twists here and there. The game tends to switch between casual settings to comedic to serious, but it doesn't overdo it like a gimmick. The story flows, no unnecessary drama and you always end up wanting more.

Characters are also really cool. The LI's all have some type of backstory and personality, not dry like other games. Dice is funny and cool.

Art is pretty good. Can't think of a complaint.

I recommend you do not hold ctrl and skip, and instead just read through everything. I remember playing this months ago and made the mistake of holding skip just to get to the H scenes and lost interest because I thought there was too much talking. I return to it to give it a chance and I was not disappointed. I believe you miss out too much and will be disappointed if you just hold skip and ignore the story.

    Can't wait for more.

I like the story and the direction it seems to be going so far. All of the characters are likable but I do find FMC's approach the most interesting with her background. Some of the writing took a second to grow on my but I did end up enjoying it. It does get a little confusing in later sections with the constant back and fourths in scenes. The overall look is good I do think this is on the better side with the models and designs.

Great game very underrated in terms of story and plot, overall one of the best games I've played lorewise and I really love the characters within the story and the dynamic between them looking forward to what's in store for future updates

    Holdem High

I am only 20% into the story or something but can already tell this is an amazing vanilla experience.

The visuals are good enough and the situations are hot enough, but where this really stands out is the writing; one of the very few VN's where I do not skip any line of text; they are all meaningful to the story and in the build-up to H-scenes.

Keep going dev, you have +1 fan

I've tried many games out there and I have to say, this game without a doubt surpasses a lot of games out there. The story within MTWY is a 10/10. I don't usually go out of my way to leave a review for H games on f95, but this one game has me hooked. I'd go as far as saying it's one of my favorite H games of all time. MTWY gets a 10/10 if you ask me.

First part was not really interesting
    There is no real story
The whole game was mc having sex with his girlfriend every oppertunity
It was more everytime mc and his gf where alone they had sex
mc his best friend i found him annoying

    Second part was slighty better
More story with the other girls to get to known them
Again to much with his girlfriend . But this time he had sex with his sister and some of the other girls wich for me took way to long before it happend

    renders are good
story is average to much sex scenes with the gf instead of other girls
Had a bug that went away with ignore
    Some girls have pubic hair
    There is moaning sounds
    Sex scenes are good
    Wish game was shorter

This game is quite interesting, as it's pretty much exactly what you'd expect from a typical real Japanese visual novel. Colorful and cute characters who have their own lives and issues that collide with the main characters for a funny, cute, heartwarming slice-of-life drama. Character designs and H-scenes are pretty vanilla, but good enough.

Issue is, Japanese VNs often tend to split themselves in to routes for individual characters, and for good reason. If you mix-and-match all of the character's routes in one, it turns in to a very long and unfocused plotline, which unfortunately, is the case here. The story might jump off a character who you were interested in, to a character you weren't, which may diminish your interest in playing, especially since the game really likes to focus on some characters far more than others (sorry to say, Kanehana took far too much screen time for someone I was not even remotely interested in). I was the most interested in Akemi, who, despite being the second girl shown, didn't have much to her story until the second part, hours in to the game. If you aren't invested in every single character it gets hard to continue playing through without ctrl skipping, which is a shame. There's also a ton of wrinkly old people that always killed any boner I had while playing. Terrible for a fap.

Still, bonus points for being a game that made me feel nostalgia for 2000s era Japanese visual novels. Haven't seen to many like this on F95. 4/5 might seem a little disappointing of a rating, but it's pretty high if you consider that I think it utterly fails as a porn game and it's only being held up by it's main plot and half of characters.

The game is about as wholesome as you can get for a harem VN. The humor and character writing are great throughout with a diverse (both visually and personality-wise) and cute cast.

The overall story has some light overarching sci-fi drama elements, which have increased somewhat in the latest chapters, but is generally more focused on the interpersonal relationships between the cast, and how they go about following their dreams and supporting each other. The main conflict comes from bringing more characters in on the harem, and their varying levels of acceptance for it. While it is a "harem VN", the harem serves as more of a plot device for the friendships and conflicts between the characters, rather than being a prominently featured aspect in and of itself (ie. pretty much no current focus on stuff like group sex, though it may shift this direction in the future once the harem is finalized).

The main thing I might call a weak aspect of the story is that it does fall into the typical "harem VN" cliche of almost every character being immediately in love with the protagonist, though it kind of has to be this way, as it ties in with the time travel sci-fi elements.

The protagonist is a bit of an idiot in the same way as SMEE VN protagonists are (if you've ever played any of them), but not quite to the same extreme/exaggerated degree. Overall, as other reasonable reviewers have mentioned, it's nothing that will grind your gears that much if you've ever watched and enjoyed a typical rom-com anime or similar media - if all you're looking for in VN protagonists are humorless gigachad maledoms who form slave harems, look elsewhere.

The visuals (models, backgrounds, posing, framing, etc.) are all on the above average side for Koikatsu - no glaringly bad aliasing issues or low quality renders, though I did spot some minor clipping issues here and there (eg. Hikari's hair clipping through MC's arm during a scene where they're sitting back-to-back). The H scenes are nothing special (using default Koikatsu animations) - H content is not a focus and is more what I would describe as "cute" or "amusing", rather than "hot". Music selection is pretty good, with mostly chill upbeat tracks, and some unique songs specifically for the "idol" sequences.

Overall, a great game if you just want some fluffy/light-hearted vibes without much high-stakes drama currently (and are not reading primarily for H content).

    + music
    + girls
    + animations are ok

    - disappointing & short sex scenes written without passion
    - fucking pathetic clueless wimp mc, typical soyboy, he is horrible. I really can't stand him
    - walls of uninteresting conversations, most of them leads to nowhere
    - Sayuri and her manipulative behavior
    - 24 chapters and we still don't get a proper 3some scene
    - boring story
    - unnecessary drama caused by some trivial things

One of the worst koikatsu i played, 2 stars from me
