I got most of the way though Book 1 and had to stop. Twice. You need to seriously suspend your disbelief to enjoy this narrative.
- The MC is supposed to be a self-insert (hence his face is always obscured) so I get why he needs to be plain but he's just so painfully whiny, dense and incompetent, I can't for the life of me understand how women find him attractive. He never does anything proactively, electing to wallow in his sorrow at every opportunity. I hear there's some supernatural stuff in Book 3 so maybe there's an explanation. God knows this guy needs all the help he can get.
- The girls are cute and have unique personalities. Unfortunately, their affection feels hollow because there isn't really anything to like about the object of said affection.
- The renders are weak and the lewd scenes are fairly short with very basic Koikatsu animations.
