Seeking Mystery games with atmosphere/setup similar to Pine Falls but with an actual good ending

I just found the world of Daniels K games. Finished my girlfriend's amnesia and Pine Falls. As everyone else has mentioned his games start very interesting but end up going off the rails, yet I still enjoyed them. Pine Falls is my absolute favorite, it's probably one of the few adult games where I was more interested in the plot than the sex scenes. Anyway, the reason for this message is to ask, please, for recommendations for games with the same setup and atmosphere that Pine Falls had but with an actual good ending/payoff. I just love mystery so much, and I want the mystery to be the main focus, or at the very least being a very important element of the story. I barely played any adult games so feel free to name the first games that come to mind. Thank you.
