Review of Act2 P1 -
Decent mini-VN as of now. It has a lot of potential and it doesn't shy away from everything the corruption tag entails.
The story is alright, it won't blow your mind but it's good setdressing for the main meat of the game - the corruption. I like how smooth the transition of the protagonist going from upstanding citizen to something darker was. I think any other VN would probably trip over itself to get the scenario to where it is.
The visuals are fantastic. Not only the models, but I personally found the environments look decent as well, considering most games usually don't put that much work into the surroundings and only the models. The sound design is decent, I hope there's a bit more variance in the bgm playing during scenes, but it's fine as is currently. The only small gripe I have with the UI is that I wish it had a textbox that you could adjust transparency for. It's great that I can see the whole scene, but sometimes it can be hard to see the white text on some of the lighter backgrounds (clothes, the ground, the walls, tables, the sky, etc).
There's a good amount of sexual content for the playtime so far (like 40 minutes to an hour?). The models really convey the hesitance and slow, corroding nature against Naomi's psyche - and I find that way better than throwing in a bunch of non-consequential sex scenes that lead no where. There's not a bunch of "penetrative" content if you're looking for rabid sex between two people, but I don't think that's the point of the game anyways, and I find it impressive how creative the scenes get.
There's not much content right now, but I think this has a lot of potential if the dev consistently updates. I will say that it might not be for everyone. For one, if you're not a fan of the main girl, Naomi, and her model isn't doing anything for you, then I wouldn't be surprised if people dropped the game - since she's primarily what the game is about. Secondly, it's great that the game has filters for some of the more extreme content (scat, urination, cum vomit), but I wonder if those fetishes/tags will be more predominant in the future. If people turn it on the future, it may subtract a good amount of content and affect how much they think each update really hold (or if the dev might not put as much effort into them if they're going to be filtered anyways), is my only concern.
