Project:
- Cor Tenebrae - Urban modern fantasy visual novel, coded in Ren'py. The game and story are primarily aimed at being a dark, thrilling adventure through secret societies, demonic rituals, and occasionally some sexy times.
Developer:
- The Outsider/Ultralazuli (me), hopefully you, talented illustrator!
Looking for:
- A talented, skilled 2d illustrator in the semi-anime, or fully western style of illustration. Generally looking towards sharp, solid lines, and dark, gritty, urban environments. Modern comic styles like those seen in the Masks TTRPG, or other similar media, with a decidedly adult and slightly anime tinge, are precisely what I'm looking for.
Employment Type:
- This is a paid position, with a monthly salary.
Work commitment:
- This will NOT be an unending game, as I have a few end-states in mind for the game, but it will definitely be a long-term project. I expect it to take at least a year in addition to what I've been able to accomplish so far, but shouldn't take more than 2, as long as steady progress is made.

- Looking for someone who is able to draw, illustrate, and compose on their own. We will be in contact at times during the process, but I need to be able to rely on a skilled artist to handle their work on their own, once given instructions. Also looking for help conceptualizing character visual designs and scenes. This will be through digital art, so skill in that is a necessity--I cannot add smart phone pictures of your sketchbook doodles to my game.
Additional comments:
- I require any applicants to show present work, so I can get a feel for your style, presentation, level of skill, and determine whether or not you'd be a good fit for such a dark game. Additionally, you must be somewhat comfortable with darker subjects, and fetishes, as you will be illustrating them. I should also note that this is a story-based visual novel, not a platform for porn comics; yes, there will be sex, in full and vulgar depictions, (I intend to censor or hide nothing) but the sex scenes will be icing on top of the dark adventure cake. Lastly, I will not be able to support another human being on what I'll be paying, so do not expect to be able to live off of it unless you have another substantial source of income.
