I want to create a game but the only problem I have is that I don’t know how or where to get or make characters that look at least somewhat decent, any tips?

.A good place to start is the Asset release section on this very website. Most assets are pirated DAZ assets, the main program used to create the games on here.

(A lot of random assets, not many characters), and a ton of other sites. Those aren't for DAZ but for 3D model programs, like Blender or 3DSmax.

A lot of those sites include obj files (some with textures, some not.), which can be used in Daz. It's not great for people, but for props and living room furnishings and things of the like, there's actually some pretty great stuff on them.
