Hi, as the title states, I’m hoping someone could walk me through a simple step-by-step method to create an incest patch for one’s own visual novel. Thank you in advance.

I'm releasing mine with incest in it from the get-go, but my original thought, if I was to make a patch, is to finish each release with incest intact, compile it. Then save the entire project as a new vanilla version where you remove all incest mentions, sanitizing it, then compile it. You upload the vanilla version, then for the incest patch, you just keep the script files (assuming Renpy) and toss the images, and upload the incest script files. Then when people download the incest patch, they just overwrite the vanilla version's scripts. You'll have 0 mentions of incest in your vanilla version so even if people open up your vanilla scripts, there's no incest mentions.
So, you finish the game version and then go in and edit all the incest out and release the script-only version as the patch?
