Need some feedback on an idea of mine

(Right, now that the poll is up, I'll write up my explaination)
So I have this idea for a visual novel type game. It's a mix of serious and comedy with gay sex scenes. It's called, and yes it's stupid on purpose, "Escape from Prison 69". The idea is a straight-to-gay corruption game, where the player needs to escape without being turned into a brainless cock sleeve (which results in a game over). At the time of writing, I've started on the intro, got a basic character creation up (you can pick your sexuality, which gives unique perks, and the crime you're accused on, which also gives a unique perk depending on if you're actually guilty or not. I'll add choice of race later in the game) or you can just pick the pre-made smuggler Jay. But here in lies the issue... I have no fucking clue where to go with the character designs...

I can do furry easily. I mean, horses, sergals, cyborg style things, that's easy, but at the same time I don't want to put off non-furry players. I'm throwing in a few humans and the game is set in space (think "The Kiln" from Guardians Of The Galaxy, that kinda jail). I'm just wondering if I should go non-furry, all furry or try and mix them both.

I'm just gonna write some stuff below, partial out of boredom, partial cos I'm excited to share my ideas.
So, the game would contain gay only sex. It's an all male prison after all. The game is meant to be played as a straight guy but the other two options allow you to access sex scenes quicker (for obvious reasons). The scenes in the game would involve: Rape/forced sex, drug induced arousal, sex machines, group sex (including group rape), mind breaking (hence the bad end), orgy (bad end only), and some romance with the allies you can make.

The reason why an orgy is a bad end is because you literally become a mindless sex drone who doesn't NOTHING but fuck. No eating, no sleeping, just fucking. Hence bad, cos it's implied your character will most certainly die from it. There's seven crimes total: Smuggling, robbery (of banks), rape, murder, arson, data theft and war crimes. Being guilty of rape, murder and war crimes will make it harder to earn the trust of allies, with smuggling and robbery being the "easy" crimes. You can earn money in game to buy items and they'll be random attacks on you by guards and inmates looking to break you in, though some perks can prevent or lower your odds of this.

As I mentioned, allies can be romanced. So far I have an inmate who saves you from a rape machine (the beds in the cells are designed to lure inmates in with their plush appearance... Then break them) and a guard who really doesn't want to be there. Lotta male nudity (no prison uniform, guards only wear a bit of armor), sexual favors in exchange for services, brainwashing (straight to gay, remember? Corruption is a separate stat).

Getting ahead of myself, as I always do (I plan ends before beginnings), the ending you get will depend on your sexuality upon leaving (39 points or less, straight. 40 to 69, bi. 70+ gay), who you managed to take with you and your corruption levels. Your crimes, your guilt and any romances (harem is allowed) also alter things. I'm also considering mutually exclusive allies, so some will leave if others join (e.g. a known sex offender joins, a more innocent inmate leaves in disgust. Or the guard joins but guilty inmates will avoid you as a result).

As it goes, it's both ambitious of me and FAR less ambitious than some of my other projects. It's also open enough that I can play with a flexible storyline.

im not a fan of furry nor of aliens, and i am not gay either, so i didnt vote.
but allow me to give you a general advice: It is your game and the first thing you have to make yourself clear about is whether you game is a commercial project or a hobby project.

if its commercial, then you would want to include furry because the furry fans are everywhere. at the same time, you would want to give the furry haters an option to disable furry -> make character models of npc´s that have a furry and a non-furry variant and allow the players to toggle it on/off in the settings menu

if its a hobby project, then you simply do what you, and you alone, think is best for you game

Yeah, pretty much all of my projects I have are hobbies (and... None of them are finished... Ever). It'd be me, my limited understand of coding, lack of art skills and mostly lazy arse doing it all, no funding. Or real art to be fair, hence the poll cos writing descriptions suuuuuuucks. (I'd kill to draw)

Though the idea of a choice is possible. I mean, it would only really affect sprites (when added) and descriptors like sex scenes or brief parts of dialogue... And it's actually pretty easy to code in, so I might actually add that to the poll. It's not a bad idea, thanks. ^^

Im not the target audience either, but regardless I think games that are made as jokes ”lolsex games” are the worst.

For a long time those were the only Adult games that existed and I dont think anybody missed them. Adding humor to a game is fine,but imo there is no point in creating a game if its just going to be a gag

I honestly don't even know how I'd make a joking sex game but I see your point there. I mean, I'm fine with jokes but joking porn always annoyed me too, especially as I only had two porn game sites when I was younger, so I understand.

I'm basically writing it like a Marvel movie here: Some light themes, some dark themes, but at least on point (in this case, on Porn).

Sorry if I came off as overtly negative btw, I think its great that you're doing your thing even if the content (gay, furry) isn't for me. You probably have a great underexploited potential market to tap into. Even if there wasn't any, you should make a game you would want to play yourself
