Exactly that yes, I had the same issues on the Mordrid and Owain routes. It makes the sound effects as if a hidden scene has started but no visuals appear as seen on that black screen.

Tried hitting the arrow keys to see if I was being daft and it made menu navigation sounds.

I recall the first or second hidden scenes on a route are working but past that everything is a black screen that needs to be skipped.

So basically these are where the Carwyn overhearing scenes would be except it's just completely black with no dialogue at all?

To add to this, I've also had "hidden" scenes on the no Gwen POV route where the scene and text were fully visible though I'm not sure if this was intentionally done.

So far Netoria Tactics is doing really well on Steam, a lot better than I had projected. It seems the people have spoken, I'll shift my budget so sexy SRPGs get a lot more of it.

idk if SRPGs are the thing to focus on, it's more that you made a quality game, that customers had some awareness of and put it on steam

I've had this conversation a few times over the past week, but the reality is that the attitude of "the game is doing well because it's quality" is not the whole story. I've made games that are much higher quality than this that have performed much worse. People really resonated with this game's specific implementation of combining the lewdness with the Fire Emblem style combat.

Quality is always a very subjective and ambiguous definition .Just like merit. It is very hard to say that a product (or a game) "deserves" something. I agree that it is always a matter of how it resonated with the target audience.

The implementation of the adjacency grope system was pretty good IMO, since adjacency or lack of it can be important in FE putting a lewd spin on it makes a lot of sense.

There is also the fact that this is an NTR game without making the main female character a piece of disposable meat or an utter bimbo from the start. That IMO makes it far more accessible for someone like me who isn't generally into NTR for it's own sake, rather if it serves the plot i'll go with it.

If you take the fact that there really aren't many adult Srpgs at all and add the fact that the game is very good at what it does in general: EI it's a "quality" game, then it's pretty obvious it's worth the $10/£8.5. Oh and decent art doesn't hurt at all.

As for me, I would say that the combination of gameplay and porn is generally great. And I think that gameplay is what makes a game a game.
If we're talking about a porn game, it makes sense that the porn gameplay is the most important thing.

As for Netoria in particular, the main tag, NTR, and the gameplay both work in a way to "protect your girl"; protect from groping in this case.
I don't know much about NTR, but I think the protective gameplay really resonates with the tag. Branching and pacing (could be even better IMO) is what makes this whole attraction complete.

So the general conclusion here is that if you want to combine porn with gameplay, it's better if the main tags resonate with the gameplay, by identifying what's erotic about the tag itself and building the gameplay around it.
Probably not every tag can be combined with gameplay due to the nature of the tag.
And probably not every tag can be a solid base theme or foundation for the game.

I couldn't agree more. But also some people just can't sense the quality, I guess, or don't know what to do to see more of it.

In my opinion, one of the main selling points of the game is the adjacency grope system.

Obviously, the great art and gameplay are also big factors but as the post above says, protecting (or not) the FMC plays quite a part too.

I would like to give some more feedback here:
When you add additional branches or tags, I think it's important to stick to the main theme of the game. It works the same way as in art, usually you don't want to overload an image with too much detail, because it's better to emphasize the details that are most important.

It's clear to me that in games, a lot of the people tend to associate themselves with characters, whether it's the main aggressor, the main victim, or even a random side character, etc; so it's important not to add excessive things to the game that distract from the main plot and the characters' roles. While also allowing people to express the character roles they want through the gameplay if it fits the main theme of the game.

You are right: I bought it on Steam because I have loved its mechanics. Erotic scenes are well made but Netoria's big point is the fire emblem style combined with the groping system: personally, I think it would be nice, if you could expand it with more possible groping actions during battle.
I am happy to know sales are going well.
