RPGM - None - NEW - Big-breasted Officer Akira: Ede Island Investigation Mission [RJ01447143]

Welp, with my work on translating this game I know this game pretty well, I played it from front to back 4 or 5 times in total to test things. I hate to say it, but this game is kinda mediocre.

Story: 3/5 Kinda simple premise of "mysterious kidnapping and trapped on an island". Unraveling the 45 minute to hour and a half of the story is kinda interesting, but I cant say its too memorable

Gameplay: 2/5 Too simple. A button to shoot a gun, a button to swing a sword. Hold for charged versions. Enemies are really dumb, except for a few late game boss fights that are more interesting, but not enough to uplift the rest of the game. H content is mostly just letting enemies catch you. Even hard mode doesnt feel like it changes much

Exploration/world: 2/5 Decent looking tiles and textures but the map is not filled with anything interesting. Plenty of empty rooms and rooms with nothing except stat boosting items... if you are playing in normal mode

H content: 3/5 What's there is actually pretty nice. Great animations, good variety, but theres just so little of it. Theres like 10-12 different animations (with some variations) and you see it all so fast.

Overall, this game is simply... okay at best. Great art but theres not a lot of it and the game offers little else.

So I just recently was able to play all the K&G Doujin games, including 723 rampaging Keron army right after I played this one, and I have got to say that, out of his 6 games, this is by far the worse game K&G has made. Sad to say since it seemed like they put in extra effort into the animations and introduced a handful of very unique mechanics that are cool on paper, but he executed everything terribly.

I was hoping the game was actually better than what another 2 star reviewer said about it but I honestly agree with him on all of his points. If you are a fan of K&G doujin games, this is unfortunately the only games that I would consider skipping. That's saying a lot since, in my opinion, if you've played and liked one of his games then I would 100% recommend you play the others since none of them are noticably worse than the others. Honestly just dissatisfied and disappointed.

If you want to test out the game yourself, download MTool (for the translation) and download the game off otomi games. The game story is nothing to write home about (it's very boring and there is VERY little of it) so a Machine translation wouldn't even make that big of a difference in enjoyment

A big let down. If I had to describe the game in a word, it would be 'meh'. Has a similar combat system to his previous game. This one has less scenes and the art seems very rushed in comparison to his previous works. The gameplay is boring and the story is mainstream. There's so much potential to make this game much more better, so I'm not sure what the dev was trying to pull here but it seems like a side project more than anything else. The game can easily be completed within 40 mins.
