FYI - Everyone can facepalm me all they want. It is never a good idea to send code to anyone without at least doing a sanity check on it (very basic testing). It doesn't matter if you are doing everything yourself. It doesn't even matter if you have a dedicated testing team. Good development practices still apply!
I support the developer but it doesn't mean that his shit doesn't stink. Developers aren't Gods that should be worshiped. Everyone makes mistakes and releasing anything without checking to make sure it even functions is a very poor habit and a very bad idea. Truth is truth. Lots of players put developers on a pedestal. This is OK to an extent. But when it gets to the point of saying a developer can do no wrong and that their shit somehow doesn't stink like the rest of us then there is a problem.
